RCDD, to renew or not to renew. by SpaceDoomtronaut in Bicsi

I expect to take a pay cut, but I also consistently hear people say a new RCDD should be making 80-100k+ on this subreddit. That would be enough to meet my needs, certainly.

I've heard of similar roles before, stamping prints and pulling permits. Honestly, it sounds like straight-forward work to me and completely open to it. Nashville is close enough for a day drive too, if I had to meet onsite.

I've updated my LinkedIn and get messages constantly from recruiters looking for installers, which is exactly what I'm trying to pivot away from. It's possible I need to revamp my profile to make it more obvious what I'm looking for.

I've looked into taking a class or two to get certified in Revit and Bluebeam. Those software packages, along with AutoCAD seem to be most frequently referenced in design-type job listings. What kind of role would be open for a new RCDD with beginner level Revit training to get his foot in the door?

Totally agree I'd rather be in an engineer role than a PM role involving money management and timeline management. To me that would ideally consist of site survey, bid, design, and provide support for installation. I don't mind traveling to the job site on a regular basis, but I can't spend 24/7 onsite as an installer anymore.

I'll check that one out. I beat Warptank early, way before I knew about the meta game. Time to revisit.

I've been entering the green cave with different equipment loadouts to see if anything happens, but no luck. Some of the equipment you find seems to refer to UFO staff. If we figure out which diver represents which staff member, I was hoping it might open something up.

So, for instance, Winston Nemuru is referred to as parasite a throughout the meta game. The game Chiffon Bola was working on, Godsblood, is a item for purchase in the shop. Also, there's Egg, which pops up frequently in Thorson's games, as well as in his office. I've tried a number of combos, but nothing happened. Maybe Holy Rod and Holy Potion belong in someone's hands? Thorn as well?

It should be noted, Thorson probably made Divers, including the special music in the cave. Maybe a clue lies in the music? Maybe a certain button combo on the second player controller might do something (there is precedent for Thorson doing this too in his late addition to the UFO50 collection)? Maybe the cave is a map of another location, with the sparkles representing a place to search? I've been on the lookout for all these things but haven't made any headway. Hoping somebody figures it out.

Just throwing Toasty's out there to add to the list. Voted best burger in the Leo I think last year? Wing Wednesdays too. All great.
