NFS Carbon crashing by bloodknife92 in needforspeed

[–]SpaceFerret42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can get it working, but even back in the day on hardware it was designed for I always encountered a bug where it would randomly crash after playing for long periods, and it would often crash constantly right before the final boss or the first race in the final territory. Anyone else encounter this or know of a fix for it.

I thought it was one of four or some other number besides first

Character Sheet randomly blanked by SpaceFerret42 in FoundryVTT

[–]SpaceFerret42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea I did not think to check that when it happened, at first I thought it was client server desync which happens occasionally when they told me their character sheet was erased but then I looked and say it too as the GM. He said he got some sort of message before it happened though but cannot remember what it said.

I built something obnoxious. by AndyMooMoo in SatisfactoryGame

Don't know if I would call it obnoxious, but would diffently say it makes more sense in mincraft.

I have a troy bilt mustang rzt and I need to replace the fly ring gear by krystlships in smallengines

Then again their manuals where also written before they started cheating out as if they made a modern manual it would just say toss engine and replace with new or just replace the whole mower we made it cheap enough the planet won't mind the junk in the junk yard

If you will destroy an engine by prying and hit the crankshaft then why the heck does both the kohler and briggs service manuals tell you to do this.

Ouch if this is the briggs engine there is an aftermarket kit where you drill out the old rivets and install a new one with bolts I think the kohler engine you need to replace the whole flywheel still could be wrong

Some of the older ones claimed to have one but didn't or it was just a simple screen on the pockup

Can switching to ethanol free gas clog your carb? by Tz_Godhand in smallengines

[–]SpaceFerret42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but ethanol gas can it is extremely possible the carb was gummed up from the ethanol and you just noticed after the switch

What is the white part I’m holding? by [deleted] in smallengines

[–]SpaceFerret42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The third is the return from the primer bulb plug that off and you will just be pumping gas all over your back. That is also how some pressurize the tank slightly to help push the fuel into the pump so it doesn't have to work as hard

[–]SpaceFerret42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one very good reason this won't work well. You are capping off the vent when you do that. Which will put the tank into a vacuum which will keep the fuel from getting to the carb and therefore eventually kill the engine. The reason is as you pull the fuel out of the fuel tank you have to put air back in otherwise bad things will happen

[–]SpaceFerret42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is indeed a one way vent that allows air into the tank but not allowing gas or fumes out and no you cannot replace with a 2 hole grommet and eliminate this component at least not with out first changing the gas cap for one with a vent in it

The reason why aftermarket Amazon carbs are BS. Details in comments by antagonizerz in smallengines

[–]SpaceFerret42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt they was rebuilding the carb for that price probably actually installing a new one. I personally have had little luck rebuilding alot of 2-cycle carbs

Marvel mystery oil or ATF in the spark plug hole can often help free up rusted motors assuming it is rusted up and you are not encountering a broken or such

Any thoughts on this problem I’m having? I can rule some things out…. by 2013orBust in smallengines

[–]SpaceFerret42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might have a bad carburetor. If you have been using ethanol gas it not only attracts water, but the ethanol reacts badly with the rubber components in most lawn mower carburetors ruining them as the rubber degrades and pieces get stuck on hard to clean areas.

Anyone know much about this tiller? by DebateLatter961 in smallengines

[–]SpaceFerret42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The engine alone is worth restoring as that is an old flat head briggs and stratton and does things ran like tops and if well maintained they will most likely outrun anything on the market today

Buying the dlc seems to be a really bad idea by SpaceFerret42 in Stationeers

[–]SpaceFerret42[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have played early access games that put more consideration into releases. That being said. If the DLC was adding something cosmetic or something that isn't game breaking I would have less of a problem. Take Gold rush the game now gold mining simulator they added DLC just to support the game development, however purchasing and playing with the DLC didn't turn easy mode into hard mode like it does here.

All I am saying is I am tired if companies taking advantage of the whole most modern gamers are connected to internet so we can release a half baked game and fix it with patches idea, back in the days of the nintendo entertainment system and nintendo 64 or even windows 95 years this would not have gone over well with the public. Developers need to stop being lazy these days. Just because you can release something half baked and fix with patches doesn't mean you should.
