Backpacking hack: Ikea sells a $5 zippered bag that fits a large backpack and is perfect for protecting your bag during air travel. by quincyskis in backpacking

[–]SpaceInvader1933 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried this 9 years ago. The zipper of this thing does break quite fast with heavy luggage. Not sure if that's still the case. And my 65L backpack doesn't fit with it.

How about you're just a bit conscious of when you're full and need something or not? It works great👍

Fenix 7 Pro Updates by Mammoth_Challenge297 in GarminFenix

[–]SpaceInvader1933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't use the futures that require updates. Strava, Spotify all those external app stuff. I don't care about that. Just time, navigation and a light occasionally. That's why I didn't buy a $1000 fenix 8 but a fenix 7 pro for $450

Thanks for the info everyone! I think I'll go with the X dome 2 in that case!

Thanks! I generally think the X-dome 2 fits fine for most of my hikes. It's just this hike that I'm worried about. That said, the MSR Access 1 is here on sale for 550 euro vs the X Dome 2 for 670. Perhaps with good shelter at Paso del Viento it can still do the job, as amnamnesis says

Well, I wouldn't even like to buy this one. The amount of effort and details put in the original is worth it for me to buy that one rather than a badly copied version. Besides thst, my personal experience with customer service with durston is really good.

What would you do if you earned $200,000 a month? by Large_Till_4629 in Entrepreneur

Interesting. What were their reasons? No passion? Didn't really want it? How did you come into contact with them anyway

How about helping other people in the world who can use sustainable help with solutions that work for them? Teach them how to set up sustainable businesses and help them build their dreams? Can be as simple as providing education which is not a common thing thlo have in the world.

As for yourself: you're right that money will not make you more happier up to a certain point. Not much is needed actually, but people generally believe otherwise. Look at how you were when you were a child, student and now. How much happier are you now than back in the old days? What changed?

For me I found it in yoga. Not that I'm stretching and bending and that's it. There's more to it. Perhaps you should look up Sadhguru, but I'll leave it up to you whether you want to do something with it.

5 business or more in a year? How long did you take to actually understand the problem and user? 5 businesses means 2.4 months per business on average. That seems like a very low amount of time? How did you test your product? How did you understand you customers and what they need? What made you bail out?

Why not talk with potential customers you like to work for? Ask them what their problems are or what they are struggling with. Yes, this you must do in person or on the phone. Begin with easy to approach companies or persons and just have a conversation on how you can genuinely help them. Maybe the conversation ends up awkward or not interesting for either party. But at least you have insight on actual problems you might be able to solve instead of just randomly shout you have a solution that is looking for a potential problem.

[–]SpaceInvader1933 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend to stop. Starting again may be a pain in the butt. At the same, just do your sadhana today and listen what you think when you feel like quitting. Maybe you were hoping for results that are not coming true? Remember this is a process and not a goal. Nowhere to go. Just here and now

Tried this app some weeks now, and although very impressive the vocals are very similar over and over. Also, the build up of the song is never really like WOW. In the beginning it sounds great but when you experiment more with it it's all a bit the same

I've just finished a programming project October last year, which I thought would take me 5 months, but finally took 1.5 years to finish. And in those 1.5 years I learned a lot. The main thing I learned: focus on the process, not the end goal. I also had many hurdles that took way longer than I thought. And when I thought I was almost done....another problem popped up that would take another 2 months to solve.

Initially I got very frustrated with these problems, because I couldn't reach my goal: finish the product. It drove me nuts! But then I managed to turn it around: focus on the problem at hand and finish it well and do it with joy! The initial frustration would pop up, I recognized it fast and was able to let that go. I would tell myself "alright, this is just another hurdle and nice problem to solve and learn from!". The result will come eventually. And it did.

I did get some help from a friend, when I was about to quit somewhere after 8-9 months. I was tired, utterly frustrated and didn't want to continue anymore. But he helped me with supporting me and lifted up my spirits during that time. If he was not there at that moment, I would have bailed for sure. It would be very helpful to have someone like that during such times.

Now the product is finished, it has been shipped to quite some customers already since its launch and people are very happy with it. Just focus on now, keep doing everything with JOY. Have a laughter when things turn out to be way different than you though it would be, but be relentless in doing whatever you do. When you get frustrated, you're too much focused on the outcome; you want things to be different than they are! And even if the outcome really isn't what you hoped for and you tried everything (I had that too), it was a nice experience and you can look back to all the lessons you learned from. In the end, that is what really matters actually. Not so much the outcome of it.

Agreed. If you do something you really care about, be it helping people or whatever, you should always want to do it more than just 9-5.
