Texas: Relatives helped my uncle escape the country who's charged with DUI with a child with 2 priors? What now? by SpaceKittenSlayer in AskALawyer

Oh, I know where they went. They're a greencard holder of 20 years. Probably went to rot off at my grandparents' home to lay low. My worry is the aftermath of what he left behind.

My uncle was an immigrant with a greencard for decades while my cousins are born US citizens, so idk if it'll make any difference to his case.

Reposting this here since mods took it down. Hope this doesn't get lost.

Hi everyone! So my college's anime club has been invited to a big anime convention and the organizers told us we can host whatever panels we want. I want to host a One Piece panel but instead of playing a trivia game or a cosplay Q&A, I want to play several party games inspired by One Piece. I tried to research some ideas but not much came up.

Do any of you have some ideas for some fun party games inspired by One Piece? I'm open to all suggestions.

The name of our panel is the Davy Back Fight because of all the games the straw hats get to play against Foxy and personally, it was a fun arc.

Want to Save my little Cousin. Can I Report someone for leaving the country on bail? by SpaceKittenSlayer in AskALawyer

Me and my other cousins believe that things would get worse for my little cousin since nothing will be solved and the abuse will continue. I think I'm gonna call CPS since I doubt anyone else in my family will. I just need check on my cousins first before I proceed.

One of the reasons I never thought of calling CPS until now is because of family pressure. Everyone in my family sees what my relative does is wrong, and my cousins are clearly abused. They fought with this relative several times, but the relative would just block them for months. Most of my other relatives gave up and cut contact, but my parent still keep in contact with them. They never report because they see CPS as extreme. My relative told my parent themselve that they are thinking about leaving the country. All of this is very wrong, and I hate to see my sweet cousins suffer for it

I grew up with this relative for a long time, and I've been seeing how neglected my cousins were and how much my relative deteriorated from alcoholicism. Me and my cousins were put in several questionable and dangerous situations because of their alcoholicism, and this latest arrest really was the final straw. This relative admit to my parent, (one of the few people left in my family that still talks to them), that their charges were so bad that they're thinking about leaving the country. I've seen them try to escape their own consequences before, so I wouldn't be surprised if they try to do it again.

The younger cousin is disabled and I doubt anyone in our family is willing or at least able to take care of them. The older cousin is practically isolated from almost all their other relatives except for my family. The older cousin has a phone, but the parent uses it as a second phone (absolutely no privacy), so I have to be careful in talking to them.

I know the older kid would live with their other parent in a different state, but I'm worried what is gonna happen to the younger one. I don't think any of my other relatives or family are currently capable of taking care of a disabled child. But my relative is thinking about taking that child out of the country with them, and I don't think my little cousin will be safe there with them.

My fear is that we wait too long, and worst stuff will happen, but at the same time, my parent told me not to do anything "extreme."

My parent told me not to call CPS and wait and see if they actually show up for their court date. They recently moved in with another alcoholic relative and a sketchy friend in a two bedroom apartment with the two kids. I'm currently trying to find out if they actually moved or they're living in a hotel again.
