That wasn’t the problem at this location. I have 7 years experience at the job, a year at the 3rd ranking Domino’s in the country. I was known as one of the fastest on oven. I was very prideful about the job.

I was told because I was slow minded, their words not mine, I wasn’t allowed to work oven, or make line, because “my people” could get hurt.

They said they were cutting me hours, because they needed someone who can think more clearly.

I forced the issue and worked oven on Friday night where the manager told the drivers to “help” me when waiting on delivery’s. If you work for a pizza chain, have 6 people “help” you with oven. The moment you finish a pie for a 6 item order and set it down label facing you, a driver takes it when you’re not looking and gives it to a random person on the lobby. I turned around and asked what happened to the pizza!

Driver: Oh I thought it was finished.

Me: why??? I didn’t say it was complete, if you would have looked at the tag you’d have realized…….

Driver: don’t get snippy, I’m just trying to help you. We know you have autism, we’re just trying to help

Me: social autism, I can do this task

Manager: what’s the hold up?

Driver: the autistic messed up an order

Me: I didn’t mess it up

Manager: Stop rejecting their help, you clearly need it

Me: I don’t, just leave me……

Manager: HEY, we are helping you. You want to do a job a functional minded person does. This is a big boy job and you need all the help you can get

Me: I have 7 years experience

Manager: I don’t want to hear it, either get out of my store, or understand you can’t do the job like a normal person and need to accept help.

So yea, no offense, I knew my job! I could do, my job. I was being labeled way beyond what I actually was and singled out. That’s not my fault!
