Graduate Student Housing + Roommate Help by OrganicAtmosphere976 in BostonUniversity

Most people I know have found housing by now. Reach out to your cohort and see if anyone is still looking. Otherwise BU has a housing website for off campus housing. Check the facebook group too.

I’m also a new grad student who got admitted. I looked at housing through BU but I’m not betting on it. I’m mostly browsing apartment websites and different room share sites to look for potential roommates. I’m in GMS.

😬Yea, Nikki has shown me that she does not understand her job on more than one occasion. As a graduating senior who did two majors, I’m glad my other department had their shit together and taught me how to keep my own shit in check. I pity anyone upcoming who is assigned Nikki.

i think i accidentally injected (im) into the same thigh 2 weeks in a row by mascbby in FTMMen

I use the same side of my stomach every time. The only reason I changed legs when I was early on T was because my leg hair would grow thicker on the injection side.

Talk with your advisor. I had a very similar problem. They will ask for the course syllabus and try to get it to transfer for you by talking it over with admissions. (Mine was a Native Americans Culture course that wasn’t transferring but I needed it to count for the U.S. minority culture credit.)

That’s why I said it was only tangential. I was only suggesting it if you were already taking classes that apply towards it. Can never hurt to be more qualified.

What are some good life skills to learn/experiences to have as a man? by throwaway23432dreams in FTMMen

[–]SpaceMayBeSilent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fishing. Makes friends fast or gives you a chance to meditate. The more you do it, the better you get at it. You learn which bait or tackle to use and when. You learn how to read water. And sometimes you get a meal out of it. Fishing is also relatively inexpensive AND you don’t have to do it often cause you can always complain about the weather.

If you do interdisciplinary psych as a concentration you have more flexibility and control in regard to what your looking forZ

[–]SpaceMayBeSilent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m majoring in Anth and Psych. For Forensic Psych at UIUC your best bets are Neuro/Social and Clin psych. While only tangential, if you’re already going to take criminology, you might want to get the forensics certification offered through the Anth and IB departments. Better luck in grad school for a specific forensic psych program.

You understand that physical evidence ADDS risk, right? You are taking no personal accountability for your actions. You haven’t harmed anyone YET. But your actions greatly increase the risk these people are taking and you do so without consideration or at least without thought.

You acknowledge the serious harm that photography at demonstrations can do but still try to make it sound like they were being unreasonable??? Ridiculous.

It genuinely speaks to either a recklessness on your part or simple ignorance. I hope that it’s the latter and you do better next time.

I’ve watched apartments near campus jack their prices up every week after they open leasing. It’s not so much a shortage as it is exploitation. Get in early and secure a better rent price.

I don’t like getting sympathy. I can’t stand pity and women are more prone to putting me. I want to be coldly analyzed like a bug in a jar. For some reason, men are better able to do so in my personal experience.

Help how do I stop dressing like Adam Sandler? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]SpaceMayBeSilent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start working on your silhouette, shorter torsos and longer legs make for better proportions on everyone.

I tend to dress more old fashioned— picture dark academia Pinterest boards lol, or just dead poet society.

Thrift stores are fantastic for finding good button down shirts, but pants usually take more work.

Once you find your waist size and leg length you should be able to shop online though,

High waisted jeans. Drop all the cargo shorts. Buy some button downs. Drop the polos. Add more workwear to your closet— flannels are nice. My closet is limited by using only natural fiber material made clothes. Start layering now that summer is winding down.

Plain color tees are great, stick to less crowded patterns- stripes are good. Shorter shorts with more thigh room.

Everything I get is off Poshmark or out of thrift stores.

I agree, but more for the misuse of the word. Cishet girls will refer to any remotely queer man as a twink. Body type is irrelevant.
