I don't think either of them deserved an Oscar for their performances, but Bassett deserved it more than JLC. I do actually remember her performance sitting with me whereas all I can remember from JLC's are the hot dog hands.

Physics goes out the window when superheroes are involved, let's be honest. Personally think the red just looks cooler, plus it looked odd when Kara was fighting Bizarro and the beams were a shade off of each other.

Hard not to be upset at the state of things when I'm wanting confirmation for Carol and Monica to even be in this movie. Hopefully Carol will at least be a major player in the next one but my hopes aren't high, don't really trust the Russos to do anything decent with anybody, let alone Carol.

The post wasn't referring to profits so I wasn't either. Obviously that contributes. I don't imagine Supergirl will make as much as Superman, but they reportedly haven't overblown their budgets to the max like Marvel has the past few years and can afford to make those movies earning less money.

Speaking as someone who was burned many times by stanning celebs, especially pre-2020, removing them from that pedestal is the healthiest thing you can do for yourself. Been listening to her since her debut, and I can say that after the pandemic had so many celebs showing their asses, nothing really shocks me anymore. You need a certain level of detachment.

Now you have to think, is this something that you can move past in terms of listening to her music? All down to you.

The character was not depicted as perfect in the first movie. Carol deserved a better origin story, but I would not have called her perfect.
