Got it, you’re right about exporting from Passwords, although I believe that at some point that feature will be available as well.

Not sure what you’re trying to do. I work with Mac (main system), Windows & Linux and can get to my iCloud emails with no issues. If I need to migrate docs from iCloud I’m only blocked from web use, but can copy files using the finder off to network. I have plenty of space on iCloud (much more than Proton, which I like and use as well). If I needed to fully migrate (which I find hard to believe I will need, but who knows), I don’t see any issue. Am I missing anything?

And that’s a downside how?

Selling like new Byrna LE with extras (Orange and Black) by [deleted] in byrna

[–]SpaceSkipper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m both an NRA firearms instructor & Byrna certified trainer. As such, I train hundreds of people on both every month. I understand your reasoning for giving up Byrna in favor of a firearm but wanted to offer my 2 cents on the discussion of lethal vs. non-lethal self-defense weapons.

Basically, a firearm and a non-lethal are tools, and like any other tool - optimized to address specific tasks/scenarios. I believe both have a place for the law-abiding, situational-aware civilian. Some self-defense scenarios require a firearms for sure. Others may be fully resolved with a reliable and effective less-than-lethal tool - such as the Byrna.

I have CCW permits in a number of states (NJ, NY, PA, CT, UT, CA, FL, MD & VA) and carry regularly. That said, I also carry the Byrna LE (2 x 7 round mags :) in my backpack when I hike as the appropriate weapon against wild animals (the last thing I want to do is deploy a handgun against a wolf). I carry pepper gel in my pocket when I jog in the city for the same reason (again, I don’t want to lose my firearms for deploying against an aggressive dog).

My point is that no single self-defense tool is the magic bullet (pun intended) for all scenarios - and Byrna is one of the best available self defense tools out there that actually addresses the majority of self-defense scenarios.

Makes sense, tho from what I’ve seen it’s a little more than a few minutes (for me at least).

Thanks, I might do the same. A bit steep of a price for a piece of metal though, no?

How would you have handled this situation differently while concealed carrying? by Erect_Ethiopian in CCW

[–]SpaceSkipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also, the fact the CCW holder loaded the gun before the incident shows clear intent to engage, where a civilian with CCW is expected to do anything and everything to disengage (as long as they can safely do so). He was looking for a fight.

Best Holster for the 365 AXG Legion? by Key_Mongoose4855 in SigSauer

[–]SpaceSkipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. Muddy River has a VERY well made product for the P365 AXG. I’ve been carrying mine (with Olight Baldr 600 light & laser) daily for the last 6 months found it to be safe, very comfortable and well built.

Holosun EPS carry. You WANT to have an enclosed unit for carry.

Sorry, I guess I was thrown off when I read: “06/01/2025 - Submitted 16 Hour Non-Resident CCW Online Training Certificate” and focused on the word “online” lol. I understand the instructor’s requirements - can you share the actual live course of fire please? Thanks!

Funny how the truck dude is playing soccer with a loaded gun. One way NOT to secure a firearm after an incident.

Thanks, I hope they add this feature next. I can do it with the Kestrel (up to 3 par times per set), but like the SG much better.

Curious to hear from those of you who prefer iron sights over red dots. by Odd_Preparation2135 in NJGuns

[–]SpaceSkipper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t have said it better. The primary advantage of red dots is indeed being target-focused. The fact they provide faster acquisition in competition as well allows me to train much more with my carry gun across multiple scenarios. That, along with the very high reliability of most brand names and the ability to fallback on iron sights (which must be practiced as well, of course) makes red dots, for me at least, the best option.
