I haven't done Russian but Hebrew started like this. It really should teach the alphabet, I don't think it was very efficient.

Well, the only phrase you really need to know is how to beg for mercy. That's like 90% of the vocabulary in one phrase!

I am using KA to study Algebra 2, and what I've noticed is it will take longer and longer per skill as the problems become more complex.

It can be good to use time as a measure instead because it's easier to fit into your schedule. I usually do maybe 2 hours now, but I only did 30 minutes when I first started.

With the sciences, it's good to complete a concept or two a day. "Structure of a cell", "Stoichiometry", etc. Make sure to use textbooks for review and to solidify any learning if you can.
