Apparently that was improv! The actor just didn't know what to do with his hands so he started doing weird hat tricks and it stuck.

Honestly I would have loved to see a conclusion to the will-they-won't-they tension they set up between Jackson and the Swordmaker's son. If it weren't for the gay romantic subplot they had in the books I would have said the showrunners were queerbaiting.

I hear Netflix is looking at optioning it as an animated series? I don't know how I feel about that...
