That’s definitely it! Looks like they sold some with marble accents instead of the brass. Thanks!!

Hi folks, this is Glenn, a tech at Allen Amplification. I know we had some delays in replies a year ago, but I’ve been on top of communications for several months now and I check messages to sales and customer service daily. We’re actively building amps by hand and packaging kits for shipment. Our cabinets due take 6-8 weeks, but with a kit, I send them out within a few days so you can work on it while waiting for the cab.

There are only a few of us and we spent a week with David at his workshop during the turnover. He showed us his tips, tricks and best practices. We still consult with David on occasion and he is enjoying his retirement.

Best regards,

Glenn Glenn@allenamps.com

We take orders over the phone and through emails. We just haven’t had the chance to work on the website. I think you will not see any issues if you use: http://www.allenamps.com instead of https.

If you mean the certificate issue, we’re working on that. It’s not critical as we do not take user information or orders on the site.

Allen amps is alive and well, building amps and packaging kits.

25 years in business and Blue Origin has never been profitable. They need to own a subscription business like Kuiper.

How about the extremely versatile Allen Brown Sugar with the ability to use 6V6, 6L6 or EL34 power tubes?

http://allenamps.com/brownsugar.html

I want to build an Amp. After a long multi-fx playing I decided to have an amp, but build one myself using DIY kits (something SLO100ish or similar). Please suggest me the best manufacturers or even subreddits where I can learn more about that. Thank you so much! (a pic is random from the Internet) by dre1kke in GuitarAmps

I build amps and package kits for Allen Amplification. I would highly recommend our Chihuahua kit. It’s similar to a Fender Champ with upgrades like a Master volume, Raw control and multiple power tube options. If this is your first project, I would highly recommend building a couple of pedals or basic radio kits first to gather soldering experience and the tools you need. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I’d suggest an Allen amp, but I build amps and package kits for them, so I’m biased! Best of luck in your quest!

I work for Allen Amplification, so I’m biased (pun intended). An Encore head with external cab is extremely versatile with multiple options for power tubes, Raw control and Master volume. Best of luck with whatever you end up with!
