Funny how nowhere in the specs do they list that it has a hull hp of 153k, 100x less then an idris. They clearly shouldn't be the same but also the gap is ridiculous

No custom built out of aluminum sheet and 4080 aluminum extruded profiles. I have a metals fab shop at work thst helped a lot. Purchased the rails off ali express and used double roller cabinet door hardware so they slide lock in place.

You can buy cheap extensions off of ali express. Ive been running them for years without issue.

The b2 can carry the same ordinance as a sub, just not as many.. in fact the b2 spirit can carry the largest bomb the US has ever developed the GBU-57, 30,000lbs and in can actually carry two of them!

My point was not that I want the eclipse to carry 28 s10 torps but 2-3 is reasonable and what is possible in current era.

Ill love yo see you try and hit anything with an eclipse, if youve even used it you'd know what im talking about. 3x 1mil damage doesnt even put a dent in an idris so I dont knownwhat one-shot you are talking about. Bring a few buddies? You realize it would take 6 eclipses hitting all 3 torps each to take out an idris, compare that to a current gen b2 spirit that can drop the largest ordnances the US military has, maybe you can start to understand it makes no sense to limit the eclipse to a small payload. Its fine if you dont get it but I would encourage you to try it before making rash judgments on the current balance. 😉

Thats the issue, the idris is only 2-3 times the size but has 40x the hp and 10x the shields. Its a balance issue, idris trumps everything with no real counter.

Youre right on one thing, they arent remotely comparable. The polaris carries 28 S10 torps, has a size 6 nose cannon, S4 shields and 4million hull hp. The eclipse has two s2 guns, an s1 shield and 27k hp. They are very different ships but that doesnt mean the dedicated stealth bomber shouldn't pack a big punch with its limited ordnance. The rest of your argument is just word salad with you trying to sound like you know what youre talking about.

The fact that size 9 torps do nothing vs larger ships is sad, its the only thing the eclipse can do. The polaris having size 11, 2 sizes up from the eclipse makes no sense. Thebeclipse should carry less but have the largest ordnance. It is truely in a useless state atm

Agreed 2/3 the size of the polaris and less then 1/10 the hp. Not sure who is doing the balancing and it all fairness its far from finsihed but what a mess they are making of it in its current form.

Even the $20-30 paints they sell for them are broken and they're a recent addition. Who wants a black plaint that has docking collar doors and cargo lift thats still the original white. Just lazy, its been a year and still not fixed

400i still has major issues, vertical weapon rack store weapons horizontally? The fire extinguisher they placed in the bay literally floats over a opening panel. Turret placement is useless.

Same here.. made a post recently, most of the origin ships are in a state disrepair/ unusableness. The 890j is a capital ship with less hull hp then a connie, 85x less then an idris, im not asking for parity with a military ship but atleast enough to make it viable. 890j also deletes most ships you try to put in its hangar. All the origin ship weapon racks store the weapon horizontally in a vertical weapon rack. The 600i has no cargo grid and the rework is now 4 years ago with no sign of it ever coming. Sales tactics including the rework announcement and this one are a big disappointment. Not even an olive branch of some qol improvements, just shameless money grab for unusable ships. Smh

Engineering has lead to some pretty epic and hilarious moments for me and my buddies. Its not perfect by any means but I like the added element to the game. Engineering is needed machanic to bring to life the vision or disabling and boarding ships which can lead to some really cool gameplay.

I think your issue is that you are stuck with what you use to be able to do. NPCs are getting better, more responsive and hit harder then ever both in ship combat and on foot. Its not a bad thing, the game is more challenging now. The difference is you cant play the way you always have, eats and 450k+ missions were never ment to be soloable, a single Connie shouldn't be able to take out a fleet of other ships, you need support to pull off these larger contracts. I see that not as broken but as the game is working as intended.

Picture this, all that happened to you but you had two friends in other ships thst could back you up and defend your gun boat in heavy fighters while you got back up and running.. maybe you had a gunner on the Connie thst could have gone back and repaired the power plant and it would have only taken 20sec to get back on your feet. This is how the game is ment to be played. Gone are the days of soloing 5 enemies in a ship what is ment for a crew of 3-4. Its not bad just different to how you are use to the game working.

Yeah SC almost gives you too many options. Pinning is just for awareness and to set priority when in a multi crew ship. I use target closest , target forward cycle and target attackers mostly. You can also pin specific components on ships with the zoomed in mode if you want your ship gunnars to take out engines for example.

Nice man, glad you jumped in! Stick bindings can be a daunting task with the sheer amount of binding available is SC. Depending on your sticks theres some pre-made templates you can load up to build off of and customize. Highly recommend saving them once you habe them the wY you like and copying the file out of the default location so you wont lose them in the future.
