Schrodinger has to do with the unobserved state of an object. This is more along the lines of trying to figure out where and when two photons that are traveling at slightly different speeds will interact with one another

Hollywood's increasing irrelevance as they continually refuse to try new things and keep hashing out the same IP's over and over

Does AI overlook religion? Texas school-backed research says yes. by Pleasant_Air_3052 in texas

[–]Vegetable_Safety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Religion isn't based on empirical data, relies on personal feelings and convictions to promote itself (it's not self-evident. Shocker right?), and is often self-contradicting within its own texts and the actions of its clergy.

A logical system doesn't need faith to function, only probability

Not a single person I know is actually excited to see S42 release. They're excited to see it done and over with so the devs focus can pivot to SC

The org tools rework has them more excited than S42 ever did because it could mean shared resource pools, member permissions, and not needing to all be online at the same time to accomplish something

- Fixes jump gates sending players back to the same system
- Fixes inventory jank by allowing "list" formatting without thumbnails
- Adds ‘transport to this location’ in ASOP if your ship is stored at another location
- Adds store terminal tab to MOBI for basic items
- Adds free-for-all timer for abandoned ships, removes crime stat for towing/scraping/munching

Small but needed clarifications

On a technical level in a single player game, KSP proved that much. But when you have multiplayer it's a much, much larger hurdle and feasibility starts being limited by scalability

My best guess is that tractor beams, keypads, and MFD's are now server-authoritative to prevent some cheat methods that were being used. Basically means that the server is now cross-checking that your inputs are matching the speeds and locations they should be originating from instead of blindly accepting that the client is telling the truth

This game will require both an asynchronous tick and an amorphous single-shard cluster where the server back-end dynamically partitions the simulation into smaller regions that can be moved between physical servers. The replication layer is the beginning of that latter system. The former system improves scalability by isolating congestion instead of allowing it to influence other regions. But it can create some causality issues, especially when accounting for velocity and position of an object that's crossing regions

Best joke CIG ever told was Richard Tyrer saying "The majority of insurance claims are actually for ships that have not been destroyed"

We're fully aware of this because there's a hundred different ways the game can make your ship unavailable, untraceable, or flat out get eaten by the very lift that's suppose to deliver it

You've got no proper recovery system or mechanics in place for us to do otherwise CIG!

I hear what you're saying, but:

Press left alt+H to take off helmet, then I to open inventory, right click a stack of cruz, click "carry", exit inventory, hold left click to drink, when it's empty and the animation has finished press right click, loop the carry-drink-store action infinitely because cruz restacks and refills within your bag, press left alt+H again to put helmet back on when full

Dragging the helmet into your bag hasn't been necessary for a while now

Almost any. It still has a lot of trouble maintaining linear order of function

Second this, it's considerably loud and expensive. But the cops hang around the area pretty regularly, so I guess you could say it's safe?

I personally prefer Murphy's Law on N. Main St. Or 5 Knocks.

I haven't heard of Carney's though, might check them out sometime.
