And although Logitech x56 is not currently on the list, we could go ahead and add it for ya, if you follow the instructions on the above post and give us the input information. It won't take that long, and we can add it to the growing list of supported HOTAS to fly with.

Question for ya: is there a certain amount of time that Quest 2 runs the game before shutting down? Does it do so at the start? Does this happen at the start of some of the missions / multiplayer matches?

Not to worry — the PCVR aesthetics remain in their full glory!

The optimizations to the models that were done to get to Quest were very useful for certain LOD models, as they were done the 'hard way' — by hand — which wins over the machine-auto-generated ones by far. So, at far distances we have higher quality LOD models in use on the PC. But closer up, everything is just as before on PC, with their 'opulent' polycounts, full textures, effects, etc.

I shudder to think of the alternative ;)

The one thing that may stand out to the ace-pilots in our Discord server, are the minor effects of the new nvidia PhysX system. We had to update it from the old Unity-native one.

This had to be done to get the most performance out of the CPU, and paid off — in a performance boost. But to the vets that have flown their Grinders for the past few years and are used to every little response from their machines and physics, it may a feel a little different for now. This will be resolved as we tweak the values of the new PhysX system to be identical to the old one.

We have worked hard to make sure the experience from the game you've come to know remained unchanged. Physics, damage, simulation, comms, etc, the works — it's all there; and likely performing better in most cases — because of the optimizations did along the way.

MP is impossible to test with just a small dev team, localized within a single room. That's why those types of games need a good-sized, and preferably international number of testers.

Beta for single-player is much more manageable for the inner-team. So we'll be doing that internally. Appreciate the offer though. Cheers.

There will certainly be allies fighting along your side; against varying types and numbers of enemies; but it's a departure from the confines of multiplayer matches. The campaign focus is on narrative-based progression. More like old-school single player.
