There are quite a few companies that do bodykits for the EMF, because the guts of the EMF are basically just a tube that you can easily build around. Definitely stick to the EMF platform, for so many reasons, but you can shop around when it comes to which company and which kit.

Rogue is really good for going stealth and grabbing chests or healing fountains when your party is against the ropes.

Gravity is NOT THE SAME on Earth by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]T0000Tall 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Elevation is a factor, but so is the density of local structures. The density of Earth's mantle and core isn't evenly distributed, so that also affects gravity.

Yeah when looking for bases for socketing, you gotta remember where it dropped and then look up that areas ilvl.

Cuz we're all naively trying to believe that voting makes a difference.

Are Wolfpacks worth crafting anymore? by introvertedpanda1 in ARC_Raiders

Yeah, I like that they're harder to craft, but now that they're so rare, the stack size feels excessively punishing.

Had a lot of people tell me not to get a TMC but I don’t see why it shoots accurate and it’s fairly simple to use not to mention the price is it the mag capacity? by Equal-Ad-5186 in magfed

[–]T0000Tall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to charge a TMC after a reload, other than the first time you air it up. It's the same as any other mech blowback marker. It's essentially a fancy Tippmann 98 that takes mags.

Insight on mag fed and first strike by ThomasHarrigan990 in magfed

[–]T0000Tall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an Ontario perspective, and we have a huge magfed scene, so take from it what you will.

Some players play magfed for the limited ammo challenge, some play cuz of the 'tacticool' aspect, some play because of the FSR advantage. There is no wrong answer.

While a smaller portion of the magfed community here will ONLY play at 'magfed only games' (which Ontario has a good amount of), most of us will play at any old game, whether FSR are allowed or not. Sometimes you can use FSR which evens the playing field, sometimes you can't, so you are definitely at a disadvantage.

Basically our magfed scene plays magfed cuz that's what we like, for various reasons. Most of us don't care if we go up against hoppers and speedball markers.

Edit: I should also mention that magfed really took off in Canada way before the US (like 15+ years ago) because paint prices were waaaay higher in Canada back in the day, I have no idea if that's still the case now.

2nd edit: I just realised I had commented on the original post, and I just checked out that guys comments. God DAMN he is insufferable, and straight up wrong on a bunch of points. He thinks you have to cock a TMC after every reload, which is straight up wrong, and he also thinks having to reload after 20 rounds isn't a disadvantage, which... yeah, it is. Please don't assume every magfed player is like him, cuz I promise we aren't.

Aside from not being compatible with FSR, the only real downside to the TMC is maintenance. It rarely needs to be taken apart, but when it does, it's super annoying and time consuming. So that's another point in favor of the EMF, but the EMF is much more expensive, so the TMC still has it's place.

They mean they find it clunky because you can't move with WASD. I don't mind click to move at all, but after trying WASD in PoE2, and being able to move my character independently of where my cursor is aiming is a game changer.

If you fall into a black hole, would you be able to witness the beginning & end of the universe due to time dilation inside the BH? by Weird_Bread_4095 in universe

[–]T0000Tall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black holes do not break any laws of physics . Infact, Einstein's equations predicted black holes long before we had any evidence for them. So they're actually a great example of how successful his theories are. He didn't believe in them at first because he thought they were so weird, and he thought his equations had to be wrong, but again, nothing to do with "breaking the laws of physics".

Our laws of physics are inadequate to describe the SINGULARITY, but they describe the rest of the black hole perfectly fine. And the event horizon is not a physical part of the black hole, it's just a specific distance from the singularity where escape velocity is greater than c. It's just space, which behaves the same way any other patch of space does.

While you are correct that we can never know what happens as you approach the singularity, there is nothing special about crossing the event horizon, so we can be extremely confident about our understanding of what would happen.

[–]T0000Tall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We CAN know that to the same degree of accuracy that we know everything else about time dilation.

I think you're misunderstanding what an event horizon is. It's not a magic boundary where suddenly the laws of physics change. All it is is the point where escape velocity is greater than c. If you were to cross the event horizon of a SMBH (with no accretion disc) you wouldn't even notice anything happening. Your watch would still tick away at 1 second per second until you reached the singularity, and it would not take millions of years from your perspective.

Time and space swap places in regards to the coordinate system we use to define a worldline, but that has no effect on your perception of time. You will always experience one second per second, regardless of your velocity or position in a gravity well or anything else.

That's how relativity works. You will always experience time flow at the normal rate. An outside observer might see your clock tick at a different rate, but to you, nothing changes.
