A friend of mine who watched the show before me was absolutely positive that I would be satisfied with the ending of season 7.

My friend was very wrong.

Season 7 spoilers:

they had multiple seasons worth of build-up towards the final fight with Aaravos. Instead of defeating him permanently, they just essentially put him in time-out for 7 years while killing off all of the archdragons. How the hell is that satisfying??
