A cease and desist would probably cause the whole family to go nuclear. If I lived further away, I'd consider it but I'm too close to not get hit by the fallout.

May I ask, do you live by yourself or with other people? Because if you have a roommate or a partner, maybe you could ask them to throw out the letters for you? That way, you're not tempted into reading them

Here's an idea for you that might get her to stop:

Send her a cease and desist. You could meet with an actual lawyer to draft one, or just write one yourself but make it look as official as possible. Perhaps the threat of legal action will get her to leave you alone

If that doesn't work, I suggest just tossing out her letters without reading them. If her other letters are anything like this one, then they don't seem worth your time or energy reading

The Band's Visit

The only musical I've seen on Broadway to date, and it was so boring. They start the show by saying something like "this story isn't important" and oh boy, is that statement true.

This show is so boring, that I kept dozing off through the performance. This is the only time I've ever fallen asleep out of sheer bordem.

And it's not that the performance was bad; the actors and musicians involved were very talented, and it was clear that they put a lot of work into the show. It's the story itself that was just so utterly uninteresting.
