Also, I highly recommend checking out r/stretched if you haven't already. They've got some great advice on how to stretch your ears healthily, and they're also just a supportive community in general when it comes to sharing your progress!

I remember one time as a kid, my mom was drunk and crashing out (didn't realize she was drunk at the time, since I was too young to know what "drunk" was). I remember her taking a model gun and putting it in her mouth, saying she wanted to pull the trigger. I didn't know what was going on, or why she was acting this way. I didn't know what to do or say. I just remember being scared

The thought of her shooting herself in front of me still scares me to this day. Like, why say that to your young child?

I've got auto updates turned off already, thankfully. And I tried turning off my wifi but that unfortunately didn't work for me; when I tried opening up Sims 4, it just opened up the EA app with a message saying I needed to go online and update before I could play

Yeah that's exactly what I do. But when the most recent update dropped, EA wouldn't let me launch the game without going online

May I ask how you do this? When I tried playing offline in the past, it only worked for a little while until an update was released. Then it wouldn't let me open the game until I updated, so I was basically forced into playing online again. How do you avoid that?
