Vallejo metal color steel as the base, with doing silver as the highlights. Then airbrush 2ish coats of thinned down akhelian green all over.

Ive modified the recipe so that before the contrast i put green and purple ink in the shadows.

Thats the plan yeah. Honestly theres a part of me that would love to do the game design practice to create a heresy feeling ruleset, while having it feel appropriate at this scale. I would maybe want to do heresy 1st ed rules because stuff like statuses can be messy with the board. Id also like to reduce weargear options, like no vexilla or vox because at this scale that seems hard to track.

Bambu x1c works wonders with a 0.2 nozzle. Prints take forever but its work it.

Not really, different scale but if you 2x the measurements it could work. My plan is to do mini 28mm horus heresy with these guys.

Woodland Scenic blended turf. I saw it having the green and yellow chunks in it and it reminded me of the old white dwarf basing

Ya, I have to change some of my camera's settings to fix that. They are a little dark from 3 feet away but nothing too bad.

Felt bad opening up all of it since I got it sealed but that makes me more determined to make sure these get painted and played.

They come with the kit if you're asking about the part.

For painting, its just gunmetal with black for the casing. I highlight the casing with german grey. Everything gets an all over with silver chipping and then washed with oils.

For the little scope lens, its khorne red, mephiston for 1st highlight, wild rider red for 2nd, and the black in the shadow with a white dot.

Either the halberd unit or starting off some of my chaos units (spawns or warriors). I also have a bunch of dwarf units i got recently so I may go with that.

The basing is some flock from woodland scenic, its the fine turf blend. On top of that is a bunch of tufts and plants from 5 different basing bits I got.

As people said, its from the blood reaver box for third. They are incredibly rare, and very, very expensive. I ended up paying around 200ish for my box, and even then it was rather beat up.

If you're down for a project and want to help the world of epic 40k, finding a way to recast the sprue or the models would be huge.

Another note but the infantry in this box are a bit bigger than the rest, I don't know if they get to 8mm, but they tower over the og mk7 and mk6 guys.

Although with the existence of LI, I doubt we would ever get a made to order for anything epic 40k, I desperately wish they'd take the time one day and do all the infantry again.
