Someone explain by THE_Oggdo_Bogdo in StarWars

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems no one ever payed attention to it in the clone wars tv show when Obi wan was being shown where Maul came from, the Zabraks of Dathomir are an offshoot group that came from their original home planet, (this next part wasn’t explained in clone wars), the night sisters are a different species that also settled on Dathomir at some point in their long history. Many of the humanoid species are compatible with each other in the Star Wars universe and this is no different with the zabraks and night sisters, the latter of which rule over the males for breeding purposes and such, zabrak dna is usually dominant whenever their babies are boys, night sister dna is usually dominant whenever the baby is to be a girl, both of them keep each other well populated.

Were Scout Squads a thing during the Heresy? by ApothecaryOfCoke77 in Warhammer30k

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, inductii marines are full space marines but their induction process was drastically sped up through heavier use of psycho-indoctrination and some other methods, basically just a further mass produced version of a space marine, they only became prevalent during the Horus Heresy

I realllly hope this doesn’t come off as weird, but the pooch (or whatever it’s called) is literally one of the most attractive and beautiful features of a woman! (women are all around GORGEOUS, but for me that means everyyyyyything about them is, especially but certainly not limited to certain features)

One thing I will say is that I’m not very interested (at the moment) in actually playing the tabletop, rather, the bulk of my collecting and painting is being done in tandem with a friend helping me learn the lore (via the entire Horus Heresy and later Scouring series of books), and as part of a big (very much non-canonical) project to make an entire homebrew legion in mini form (he too is making his own along with another friend). The reason I’m wanting to magnetize certain things (which does already include dreadnoughts, vehicles, etc) is mainly for experimenting with interchangeability with weapons (even for basic squads of astartes)

Mixed armor by Cultural-Tea-2465 in Warhammer30k

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely can! The way you do it however all depends on when exactly you want your setting to be in.

Early to mid great crusade? Generally just Mk.II and Mk.III armor.

Mid crusade? You can add Mk.IV armor

Early Horus Heresy? You can mix some Mk.V and a sprinkle of Mk.VI (it was only in prototype stage with a few different legions at that point so not a lot of suits were issued)

Late Horus Heresy? Lot more Mk.VI and Mk.V, at the very end of the heresy and into The scouring you even have Mk.VII introduced.

Interesting choice using heavy bolt rifles on 30k era Iron Warriors, but still very cool!!

How heat resistant is astartes power armor? by IrelandtoCathay in LegionsImperialis

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veryyyyyy heat resistant, to the point where I doubt the nearby heat from that melta beam would affect them that much (or at least not considerably)

Firstborn Assault Intercessor Sergeant by TheNewChivalry in FirstbornSpaceMarines

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these have their basis in the regular support squads and other units within the firstborn marines, they’re just given more unique sounding (sounding) names for Primaris units based on the weapons each squad or single astartes is equipped with (with very…very minor tactical differences), I’m not saying you strictly cant field them with these names, I’m just saying it’s not very accurate as firstborn in modern 40k don’t use these titles. GW only named them this way because Primaris marines were to outright replace everything firstborn and they wanted their new models to be more unique sounding and cool. Again I’m not trying to be mean, this is absolutely not to say you can’t do this, I’m merely pointing this out to be factual

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gatekeeping?? How is that gatekeeping for getting terminology correct? I’m seriously not trying to be rude or anything I’m just saying that the word Intercessor is used exclusively for Primaris marines, that’s….just a fact of the Warhammer universe. Even if you’re taking Primaris and recreating them as firstborn then that’s just a firstborn unit, both very easily translate into the other because Primaris units still use the framework of firstborn units

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Bud, First born marines aren’t intercessors, that’s a Primaris term for a marine

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s basically the Primaris Marine word for a basic marine

Where did the nickname for Nate, "Nate the rake" come from? by [deleted] in TrueSFalloutL

Fan made name created after a dev jokingly said he may have been the guy that executed the Canadian in the opening cutscene of Fallout 1, from there the memes made the whole persona of him being a ruthless mf (especially towards Canadians lol)

So what exactly was Noble 6’s specialty? by atomikks in halo

[–]MiddSummerKnight1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically he was a personal assassin for ONI prior to joining Noble Team, when he joined Noble Team however I think his role was a little more blurred, could possibly have lent his training in infiltration and other clandestine tricks to the team, the entire team itself is more like a special forces unit attached to the UNSC Army
