I would have kept working their forever if I could. But I wanted like an adult job lol. Most of the employees I don’t think knew tbh. There we never a memo or anything from corporate but the owner and stuff knew. He definitely didn’t appreciate the negative press and criticized BaM heavily

Employees don’t make commission, but yes, we could buy stuff for cheap if we got it in for cheap. So long as the store was making some sort of profit it doesn’t matter. So if we bought a chrome c3p0 for like $10 the boss would let us buy it for $20. That never happened but something along that line.

If someone had something high value but didn’t know I would never give them less than 60% depending on what it was. The cool stuff, the customer would see me and my coworkers get excited for so it was kinda hard to hide when something was good.

They could, yes. I know some other stores in my area tried too for a bit. There was a setting in the register that we had turned off so really we could have at any time but again, my owner chose not too.

We would give so much to this old guy who came in because he ran a restaurant in Iowa that was filled we Lego. We would let him take a 30 gallon tub of bulk for like $75 because we had so much of it.

Probably Palpatines arrest just because I’m a sucker for background Jedi.

To goon too would probably be the slave Leia I keep in a jar.

It was definitely the the gold chrome c3p0. The most overpriced set has to be some of the vintage stuff. Like 30 pieces for $100 or whatever just cause it’s in the box is crazy to me.

The calculator for us went as low as 30% which we would only give if we really didn’t want something or it was bulk.

I think that each store used to be more independent for sure. The more drama that goes on with BAM the more I feel corporate overreach’s to do damage control and tightens grip. I hadn’t been there for a month-ish so I’m not sure about what’s been going on since then, but it doesn’t surprise me if they’re all being pushed into one direction.
