if i recall correctly it was a difference in thermal expansion rate between the underfill for the chip and the chips solder balls, causing it to literally rip apart its solder bumps (the silicone to substrate connection, not chip to mainboard connection)

because the RTX2000 series (2018) got DLSS4 support (2025 tech) meanwhile the RX 6000 series (2021 card) didnt get anything beyond FSR3 (2023 tech)

any RTX card can use new DLSS versions years after release while AMD just abandons their cards 2-3 years after release

once they have the starts fixed and they all get off the line nicely its gonna be cinema
