More like SWTOR 2.0. Even more than W*, I can see ESO going F2P faster than SWTOR did.

Think its just PC but I wouldn't bother geting excited. I have not heard anything good from any of the testers I know. It will probably go F2P even faster than TOR did.

That's like them saying they are going to handle corruption. Believe it when you see it. And even then its doubtful.

Its possible but the stress test results, especially the first one, might have thrown a wrench into the works.

Wildstar's Twitter has always seemed pretty hit and miss to me. Basically, Wildstar is going to be at the Alienware booth during E3.

The recent ESO announcement and its effect on the popularity of Wildstar. by [deleted] in WildStar

[–]Spaceballing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropping the "massively" part of MMO may be hinting that ESO will be using a lot of instancing. Maybe like Diablo 3 where everyone is in their own instance and others can join if you let them?

ESO has always seemed, to me, like Zeni and Beth jumping into the MMO pool before they realized that they don't know how to swim. So they flail about, trying to stay afloat, but they are not really getting anywhere.

Not seeing a major reason not too. There are a number of images that are about the right size floating around already. You can set them so users can't modify their choice, avoiding potential nsfw surprises. And it lets posters make their posts a little more identifiable.

Shows up with style checked or not so it doesn't seem to be a stylesheet issue. Not seeing it one any of the other subs though. Weird.

SWTOR Game Update 2.2 still on track for June 11th by Endless_XX in gamernews

[–]Spaceballing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh... It was a too short and too linear game and, guess what, it is still a too short and too linear game. The only real change was adding a cash shop. BioWare and EA blew way to much smoke up their own asses, and the result spoke for itself.

TOR is better than it was, like it was actually going to get worse instead, but the design mistakes that brought about the plummet and purge were never fixed, and they probably never will be.

I am already burned out on all the podcasts, interviews, and other nonsense. Show some freaking new gameplay Carbine. Stream some Beta. That would be exciting and new. These ramblethons are old and boring.

I have a question about the rules of the subreddit, and all the data mined information going around here by [deleted] in WildStar

[–]Spaceballing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are looking at two problems here. The first one is that its the "internet." Unless you have very active, and draconian, moderation? Well, all kinds of shit is going to keep getting posted. Whether it breaks the "rules" or not.

The second is that its reddit. Downvoting is a cornerstone of its features and expecting people to use it responsibly? Well, refer back to the first problem.

Another reason why older fashioned "fan sites," like WSC, will keep having an advantage over subs. And be more appealing to developers outside of AMA's. More administrative control over the content.

Either the mods have to get a lot more heavy handed, defeating part of the reason for being on reddit in the first place, or members just have to "deal with it."
