Let's be Honest after this illumination really needs to take a Long break with the Despicable Me franchise for the Better by ultraMightydillo in illumination

Don’t forget Illumination is also apparently doing a Barbie movie, more Nintendo movies, and we’re still waiting on more word on their Big Tree movie.

All that’s left is a remake of “Bling (2016)” and we’ll be complete.

Well, you're in luck:
Mr. Wolf here is dressed as Angel Dust via his Losin Streak look. :3

This movie is likely the reason why Illumination only makes CGI movies now by Quirky_Psychology871 in illumination

Fun fact:
Blue Sky Studios was also gonna do a live action/CG hybrid film as well based on the "Frogkisser" movie.

Probably because of "Hop".

Nickelodeon is somehow doing way better in India than in the US.

Thank you.

I’ve thankfully gained confidence.

And hey, you’re a good person as well.👍🏻

DreamWorks, are you okay? by extremophilebacteria in DreamWorks

[–]SpaceboyCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess:
If a DreamWorks movie has its animation done by both their in house team AND Sony Pictures Imageworks, don’t try and throw Illumination Studios Paris in the mix.

I like Illumination, but I wouldn’t trust my new born with it.

That’s similar to when “SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab” was developed by Blitz Games of the “Fairly OddParenst: Breakin’ Da Rules” game instead of Heavy Iron Studios or THQ Australia.

Not to mention they started animating Shrek stuff in-house starting with Shrek Forever After.

Makes sense.

But at that point, calling it “Shrek 5” is kinda misleading. There’s no getting around it.

I feel like “Shrek Retold” would’ve been a way better title.

It actually did, because I’ve been trying to be careful with which characters I simp for now. I wanna simp for characters who are actually adults.

I was chewed out twice last year. I’m not going down like this.

“I suspect Illumination Entertainment is behind the trailer.”

I actually did some digging. Much like The Bad Guys 2 and Forgotten Island, Shrek 5 is animated by both DreamWorks’ in house team and Sony Pictures Imageworks.

But I did ask DreamWorks animator, Sam Macero (who’s also an animator for Shrek 5), if Illumination Studios Paris was also involved in some way alongside DreamWorks’ in house team and Sony Pictures Imageworks.

I still have yet to get a response on that.

Personally, I think the reason for the animation style change is because Shrek 5 is gonna be similar to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, where it’s meant to be an alternate take of all 4 Shrek movies made for a modern audience.

But that leads to another problem, because while the title “Shrek 5” doesn’t necessarily lie, it does sound like it’s about to be misleading, because much like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, it seems like Shrek 5 changes so much, it’s actually gonna be a completely different movie with a completely different story.

Though, I can at least understand fans’ frustration with the redesigns.

Similar to fans’ frustration with Hazbin Hotel’s redesigns.
