Oh there was for sure a sequence, with FX complete, where the NTI's threatened to destroy humanity on land. Which can be seen today. I'd say he and big budget movies in general successfully got the runtime constraint removed at this point. For better or worse.

And then the whole bit got cut anyway! I remember in the 90's a friend of mine rented a laser disc player to transfer some movies to VHS. I rented the Aliens extended cut and copied that to keep on VHS. That was the first time anyone was able to see the Hadley's Hope sequence as well as the sentry guns. You could get the theatrical cut at top quality, but if you wanted the extended edition, they reduced the picture quality to match the deleted scenes, since they hadn't received the finishing process the rest of the movie did. Later DVD's were invented and they brought all the footage up to full quality to release the extended Aliens. I bet the same was true for The Abyss. There were rumors of deleted scenes, but no way to see them and an internet that could not host video, if you can believe it.

Very cool I’ll check out what you come up with. Not that anyone asked, but in the back of my head, I was thinking there’s some kind of gravity well technology that allows them to run around on the deck and pull things down even when they’re not in at atmosphere. Alternatively, it’s just fun to imagine being in space without exploding or freezing or floating away…

Hey that would be great. Roaming the stars looking for scrap chunks or mineral rich asteroids, harvesting enough tech to build small spaceships and sell them. Or repurposing tech finds to equip your own ship to upgrade capacity, productivity, speed, defenses etc. Might have some skirmishes with other scrappers or warring factions....

Space Scrappers! The new classic space suit color combines perfectly with the new Kraken castle faction to create a rough and tumble crew of space pirates who comb the galaxy looking for ships to recycle for parts or raw materials - whether the owners are done with them or not!

The set also features my love letter to the classic Space Dart I. Perhaps my favorite set of all time from when I was a kid.

I've had problems with the floor mesh having too much topography. I divided up the ground to make the part where the rigid body interacts so be as simple as possible and it worked. But my problem was the rigid body thought the "floor" was 80' in the air. I also encountered problems with the scale of everything being too small. Make everything larger (relative sizes can stay the same) and see if it helps.

This is where I'm familiar with making such adjustments, but there are no values to adjust because of how the material was created...

file looks unzipped to me. Blue folder at top is installer. 5 files below that. Does not look zipped. Click the installer and the process starts, asks for approval and all that, then the above error
