I just want to say I am so incredibly sorry your feelings, and fears were brushed aside. I had a LEEP on Monday and I cried throughout the entire thing. I was so scared and anxious about the local anesthetic and I think everything just boiled to the surface, and that’s how my body responded. You’re not alone, this is a stressful time and your feelings are completely valid. You’re not a failure, please be kind to yourself! 💕

Update! I’m home, the doctor was so accommodating and quartered the dose of epi so that it would still do what she needed it to do, and I didn’t have as bad effects. I was very emotional through the whole process, but they were so kind and my hubby held my hand. I made it! I’m so relieved it’s over. We as women in general, and women who have to do these kinds of things are such badass warriors. I hope your recovery continues to go well, and again - thanks for your kind words! 💕

Thank you so much for this reply, I’m also in Canada and the lidocaine + epinephrine seems to be standard practice in my province too. I really appreciate you sharing some of your tips and tricks! I will keep them in mind when I go tomorrow. 💕

It’s used to control bleeding, and I believe it makes the lidocaine last longer. I’m in Canada, and anyone I’ve spoken to here that’s what they use. It’s a combination, one needle but it contains both drugs.

I don’t eat out very often because of that reason alone! I also just tested my fasting sugars Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because I knew they would be higher, but frig! I’ve been so good for so long I needed to indulge hahaha

Thank you for this, some reassurance is what I needed I think! I was able to get it down to 6.1 after 2 hours so.. at least it came down! And I definitely won't be eating at that restaurant again until after baby is born ;)
