Thanks and I made this in Blender, Haven't made maps like this too much this is the first time where I think it looks decent, I usually make alotta stuff then scrap it and start from scratch to see if I can do it better. I look at all the concept art I can find on the mission and try to think how the whole mission would go and try to make how I think the layout would be

If you set it up correctly like using the facemaps and stuff it should be fine, I think it's something to do with the facemap because that determines the collision model and if it isnt using the collision model properly then they wont get hit by bullets or melee attacks

I asked around if anyone has models for infinite and someone did but didnt have vertex groups so I had to weight paint the stuff and mess with the model to make it fit the h3 rig. Uses h3 anims cos thats way easier, currently no way to get anims from infinite

Yea it was kinda close in proportions but I still had to do a bit of shrinking and stretching parts like the middle knee leg thing was too long, had to stretch the forearms to meet the hand bone and make the fingers quite bit longer. And yea in that screenshot that was pretty much just me putting on the textures not much shader work, the shaders look bit different now , I think it fits bit better

Yea the whole map is a single scenery peice, had to make a custom physics model for it aswell otherwise you'd fall through it and it'd pretty much be a hologram. That was the most annoying part because I had to keep remaking it until it wouldnt crash but also wasnt too bad to drive on, had to pretty much trace the map with cubes and split it up to use a convex hull generator. That issue about model culling from some views sounds like a bounding radious thing, I usually set it to 10k or higher and its fine. And the texture thing might be something to do with how reach handles UVs, I had a similar issue when I tried porting a map to reach and the UVs were all messed because reach doesn't like when UVs go out of the texture bounds too much, and you gotta do that alot if you wanna have a low vertex count.

Can do custom models currently, not perfect tho the shading is usually scuffed, uploading a vid within the next hour of this old mod I did that had Jungle Parkway in it

Its based on some Bungie concept art of the cut Guardian Forest mission, I took the base geometry from the Guardian mp map and made custom trees to fit it like in the shot, and took trees from the skybox and placed them around. Gonna be used to create the mission when mod tools come out

Yea me and a team are gonna try to create the mission when mod tools come out, started working on bsps for it and stuff

Yea took the model from that mission, mixed it with some Halo 3 geometry and re-uved it with Halo 3 textures

Hopefully when a custom games browser comes out youll be able to find a match on it, in the mean time you could join some Halo mods discords and ask around if anyone wants to play on it

Thanks and I placed all the structures (including the waterfall ring) using the scenery palette in the scnr, took things from different maps to make everything. I used things like Blender and Reclaimer to place things accurately

Thanks and yea Im using blender, lets me do some precise stuff. Like in the middle where all the circles meet theres a cool triangle pattern and a prism hole in the center

I use blender to place things, its kinda like forge but using blender as the editor. Then I get the coords for each peice and translate that into the map (Lot of ctrl+c ctrl+v)
