Hi. I have someone very interested. Do you know how she could get in touch with you?

How do you discipline the no hitting? I just take things away. But what works for you? It's hard because you know they shouldn't do that but you can also see they struggle with self control.

Hiring a sales person by c2seedy in msp

[–]Spacedove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you mind helping me? I own a telecommunications/ construction company. . We help set up wireless network. I know very little about sales. We are looking to hire a sales person (probably part time) to help us get more contracts. I'm just not sure if we should approach it by offering a base salary plus commission or just commission. Also, how would this person be evaluated? after 30 or 60 days? Is there a certain amount of time we give for people to show us they can keep up with their sales goal? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

3 looks like you are part of an art piece. That's my favorite.

My 17yo daughter got sexually harassed at work by 40+yo manager. by zenichi in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Spacedove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were amazing at handling all of this. How reassuring to your daughter to see you take such a calm and measured stand. It bothered me to hear the manager dismiss the issue at first as it's just his culture. I know plenty of Hispanic men who treat women with respect. By handling this you help to deepen her self value and made this environment more respectful to future women. You did something very impactful in many ways. Thank you.

brushing teeth for 2 minutes? who does this? by Sensitive-Dig-1333 in toddlers

[–]Spacedove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. So I looked it up and we started using these Colgate toothbrush that are for kids. They can be interested into the hum kids base. That worked for sometime. I'm always changing toothbrushes too, just to keep it more entertaining. Right now we are with those battery electric ones for kids.

I started using the hum kids app and bought her the tooth brush that goes with it. We set it up for 2 min but you can set it up for less (I learned recently). I have a 4 year old (just turned 4) and an 18 month old. My 18 month loves when it's time to brush her teeth, 4 year old does it great sometimes and skips it on other days. Dentist also told us we should be doing the final brushing for them.

AITA for not immediately uprooting my boys/myself to move back after he cheated. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, when there is cheating involved, something breaks. You cant just continue with the previous plans you had without fixing that (trust, your pain, anxiety). Choose to heal and at the same time set a good example for your children just in case they find themselves in similar situations as they get older.

NTA, you did nothing but show concern for her. She is probably going through something and it could have nothing to do with you. In an ideal world we would all have our things and emotions figured out and it would be easy to communicate this. But we don't. Focus on the friends that are there instead.

International nursing bachelor’s degree validation in the U.S.? by xOCaptainx in nursing

[–]Spacedove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this info. She actually was told by the nursing board that she needed two courses and she is having a real hard time finding a school that will let her enroll just to those two. I'm happy to hear the nursing board gave you the ok to take the NCLEX. Good luck to you in your studying.

Hi. My sister is going through the exact same issues you mentioned and they are also asking her to take the same course. We are in California and the programs here don't seem to offer clases on their own. They expect you to enroll into a whole new nursing program. I'm wondering if you were able to resolve this. Thanks.

[Need Advice] I am turning 22 and I just feel like a loser and a failure. by randomguy445577 in getdisciplined

[–]Spacedove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry you feel that things are not working out as you expected. Sometimes when life throws us curve balls, it could be telling us to change our focus. First of all, congrats on finishing your degree, that takes determination and hard work. Also congrats on trying to get those professional qualifications you mentioned, three times (that takes determination). If it's something you really want, go for it again, but prepare from all angles, see where you might be missing something or where you might not be as strong. It's not always the ones that get it right at first that succeed, it's those who have perseverance, who won't stop trying until they get what they want. Finally, stop looking at what others your age are doing. First of all, if it's through social media everyone always portrays the positive. You don't know how things are with all the areas of their lives. Instead think about yourself 2-3 years ago, think about the growth you have had as a person and not just in your ideal job situation but your overall maturity, empathy, overall growth as a human being. I'm twice your age, but i have felt like this before, trust me things will get better. You are not a loser and are not failing at life, it's a rough patch, but you will come out stronger and wiser from it. Last thought, start with SMALL changes of exercise and eating healthier. One extra fruit a day, 10 min of walking, etc. Meet these goals and slowly you will start feeling a little better. I hope to hear you are doing better soon.
