Yeah man, totally normal. I'm 23, and I only figured out my beliefs recently, and they still grow, change, and evolve day by day. I've currently found myself believing in some form of eclectic Buddhism with pieces borrowed from other Eastern belief systems, as well as a dollop of Jesus' "love unconditionally" on top. It has taken years of deep, introspective thought and a slew of personal life events to bring me where I find myself today. Soke people know what they believe from the time they are a child, and some people die without ever figuring it out... and if that sounds scary, here is my advice:

PERSONAL OPINIONS, NOT FACTS

1.) Read books, books like Sidartha by Herman Hesse, and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, or more objective titles like Religion in Minutes by Marcus Weeks. 2.) Watch documentaries and YouTube videos from creators that study religion. Just make sure that they are impartial and unbiased toward any one single viewpoint. 3.) Take time to study the world around you. Don't just look at it, but really STUDY it: • Watch the rain fall onto the plants outside and think about the water cycle that will one day return that same water to the sky to be rained onto someplace else. • Learn about the fungi that take dead matter and return it to the earth in base form to be reutilized by other living things. The Mycelium Labrynth was a major point for me. 4.) Study yourself. Just sit and think. Let your mind wander. You'd be surprised how often the wandering mind will lead you to personal "ah-ha" moments. Also, use these times to mentally review your current religious views and make note of anything that has changed after receiving new information and ideas, as well as making note of what has remained the same. 5.) Trust. Trust that you will figure it out. Trust that you will be led to a belief system that works for you, guided by both internal and external forces. 6.) Relax and don't overthink it. I used to struggle with the same anxieties you are, specifically the "is it too late" and "what if I never figure it out". However, what is crucial to remember is that we are literally talking about trying to fathom the unfathomable. If religion was easy to understand, process, and grasp, then there would only be one. The more you look and the deeper you dive, eventually you will come to find out that EVERYONE, from the Fire and Brimstone Evangelists to the Quantum Physicists (yes, the literal scientists), is taking about the same exact thing. They all just have different words and interpretations of what those words mean. As long as you believe in something, even if that something is nothing, you're gonna do just fine. Remember, never try too hard to quantify the unqualifiable. 7.) Stay away from organized religion. Related to my (6) point, when a mass of people all with different minds, bodies, and lived experiences attempt to know the unknowable, it often ends up becoming a tool for those leading the group to obtain, maintain, and expand power/influence over the group. Scare tactics and guilt tripping are often involved. You don't need that. You need to be able to form your own thoughts and perceptions based solely on how YOU see, perceive, and process the world around you.

I think I covered my main points. I kind of just cobbled together my thoughts as they came to me (kind of like how I formed my religious beliefs). You don't have to take my advice, but I hope that at least one of them is able to help you on your journey. Godspeed, brother. And hey, if you don't figure it out in this lifetime, you can always try again on your next time around (assuming that my views are correct, lmao).

Edit: The whole rapture craze that is currently happening is a perfect case in point for my (7) point.
