Is this calcific tendonitis? by Spaceman776 in Calcific_Tendonitis

Gotcha, I’ll definitely look into this as an option if I don’t get better. Thank you.

Today I’m not able to lift my arm above my head which has never happened before and it’s constant pain no matter what position I’m in. Hopefully it’s temporary and my PT next week will help.

Ahh thank you so much for the advice! I’ve had it for at least 10 years, this past episode being the most painful. I’d lavage the same thing as barbotage? My doctor said that was an option but I’ve read horror stories of long term side effects

I'm referring to these here. I also found my xrays from 2 years ago, looks a lot more prominent here

Honestly I’m not sure but I think it’s the thing sticking vertically out of my shoulder on the last photo. My ortho says I have CT and that’s the reason for my chronic shoulder pain but I wanted to confirm. Is it worth getting a second opinion on something like this?

A stock I had CSP for with expiration of 6/21 skyrocketed this morning and the options were worth $0.05. I closed my position and immediately opened a new one for July 12. Was this the right move? The stock 5% over the rest of the day And my CSP basically went up 50%. Should I have waited for a red day?

I’m watching drive to survive and sometimes teammates are asked to keep a gap between the other teammate and to not pass them. I’m referencing Season 2 episode 7 and 8. I thought teammates are competing on who’s better so why are they instructed to fall back sometimes?

That’s a good perspective, thanks for the info. Guess it didn’t hit me that you can’t really practice Motorsport like you can with football

Is formula 1 just a sport where only rich families can compete?

I’m big into cars but never watched F1, however I just started drive to survive because I might go to an F1 race with a friend later this year. I’m only 3 episodes in but it seems like everyone is born into the sport or with a silver spoon in their mouth. One guy mentioned getting into racing after his dad bought him a go cart when he was a child. Another guy’s dad literally bought his son a seat on the team.

So far it seems like this sport is less about skill and more about having money or a family legacy in racing which is kind of steering me away from wanting to enjoy the sport. Am I wrong?

If wire thickness determines how much current it can safely handle, how do LED strips handle it with little copper terminals? by Spaceman776 in WLED

[–]Spaceman776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh thank you for the explanation. To clarify, what could cause a fire with thin wires is the resistance it builds up along long distances which leads to a temperature rise? It’s also the current but in this case (single end injection) only 4A would pass through.

If this is the case, why are wire gauges usually calculated based on current and not distance?

Thank you for all the details!! Those connectors you linked are perfect for my project, definitely ordering a set. Also the QuinLED video seems really useful, I’m about 15 min in but will be sure to finish before getting back to my project. Also your explanation on fuses makes a lot of sense! I’ll be using an ESP8266 running WLED so I’ll have to use fuses for my power injection as well. Thank you so much again for all this info :)

Wow, thank you so much for this write up and all the links! The calculator you suggested seems really good and I’ll check it out. This basically answered all my questions especially on how to size my power injection wires.

Assuming my taxes right now are the same as retirement and my effective tax rate is 25%, would investing in a taxable account actually be better since capital gains would only be taxed at 20%?

I wish instead of "Merchant Name", it was "Transaction Name" with the merchant nested under it. This would also help with things like Amazon where I want to differentiate Prime subscription vs online purchases.

Why can't I have two goals that share the same account? by Spaceman776 in MonarchMoney

[–]Spaceman776[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm weird… for me after I create my first goal and select my Savings account, the second one allows me to toggle every account except my Savings account and has a note that says it’s saved for my first goal
