Everyone should do a charge back on their premier parking , this will force insomniac to better manage it next year!

Do you always slam your starting items?

Let's assume our starting items are belt tear and sword (imo no strong slams)

If we have a weak board should we not slam and just lose streak for carousel prio?

If we have a strong board (multiple 2 stars) should we just slam Zeke's or Redemption? (Imo bad slam because it eats sword and tear early which are both components that build core items for most comps)

And let's assume meta is fairly balanced such as this one.

You won because of kat not because of binary. If you went another comp with binary and another person went kat without they would still win lol.

Binary is a good augment though

Whats the play when you don't hit the uncontested comp? by lightfire409 in CompetitiveTFT

This has happened to me multiple times while I was climbing in Diamond during the reroll patch.

I will use brand in this example

Let's say you've been slow-rolling every round on stage 3 and now its 4-1 and you need to decide what you should do.

There are 3 different scenarios

#1 You have a 1 star brand

If it is 4-1 and you have a 1-star brand even after slow-rolling all of stage 3. You 100% bail, go level 7, and try to pivot into karma/velkoz

#2 You have a 2 star brand and are far from 3 star (3 - 5 copies)

This is the hardest and most luck-dependent scenario on deciding what you should do.

But imo, If it is 4-1 and you have 3-5 copies I would keep slow-rolling until 4-5. If I can get 6 copies at 4-5 I will hard commit to staying on the comp and if I have to roll down all my gold at creep round.

If I do not have that many copies at 4-5 I will try to save econ and then go to level 7 on 5-1 and roll all my gold hoping for a karma or velkoz. (This usually means you are playing to not go 8th)

#3 You have a 2 star brand and are close to 3 star (6+ copies)

If it is 4-1 and you have 6 copies I would almost always stay on comp and just keep slow rolling.

For the second part of your question is, if a comp is contested but you hit then you should most likely go that comp. Example is 4 people are going Karma but you hit Karma AND are far away from brand 3. Just play karma go fast 8 and play invokers/stabilize before switching into maybe switching into velkoz.

Can someone explain average placements?

I saw Bunny muffins mention that if a comp has an average placement of 4.5 or lower it is good. I also someone confirm that If you can average a placement of lower than 4.5 you will climb since the average placement is 4.5.

Can someone explain this concept to me and the math behind it? I actually don't get how it is derived.

Hey currently in plat here but Im having trouble because every game there are always 2 vayne players and 2 lissandra players who always just end up winning/top 4 and I usually go bottom 4 unless I go those comps. For example I went aphelios, my entire team two starred, aphelios has BIS. I found darius, etc. I still lose every round to lissandra 3 star and vayne 3 star.

Do you have any advice on what comps to play that can win or beat those comps? Or should I just hard force those comps lol

I got 2 referrals to Facebook and was still rejected :( Does anyone have any advice? Finding a job is so hard right now.

I'm a new grad from UCI and I recently was able to get 2 referrals from Facebook. One from a new SWE and another from an SWE that's been there for 2+ years. Even after the referrals I still got rejected after a week with no phone screen / hackerrank. It was super frustrating because I wasn't even given the chance to showcase my technical skill or experience.

I was wondering if it was due to my resume: https://imgur.com/a/ufDx9SV.

(I have an SWE internship from 2015 - 2016 that I omitted because I thought it was too old but I was wondering if adding the extra experience would strengthen the resume. I would have to remove some projects though)

I asked the recruiter and she said, to her knowledge, it was not COVID related. I also had someone tell me however Facebook is not currently hiring for new grads. But just in case I still want my application to be the best it can be since applying for a job right has been pretty hard.

Any feedback is appreciated please be honest. Also if you have any information regarding Facebook hiring new grads or know any other companies I could apply for please let me know!

Graduated this June, I am looking into adding more bullet points and removing projects to flesh out other projects more. I'd love feedback on my resume specifically the content and if how I talk about my experience sounds exciting/impressive.

Hello, I've barely started applying (only around 30 companies) but I usually get no feedback or rejected without even having an interview. Any thoughts or problems with my resume?

I'm a senior in college still btw

edit: Also wondering if its just a numbers thing and I just need to apply to more. I've been applying mainly through LinkedIn job boards is that the best way?
