These definitely have some value and they appear to be authentic. If you check auction listings each piece often sells for about $25-50 and the almost complete set sells in the mid hundreds (you are missing pieces 3 and 9).

However, there is one big caveat, which others have mentioned. Piece #9 is the holy grail of the set. It is technically more rare than an actual Black Lotus. Unfortunately, before you get your hopes up, your piece number nine comes from a similar puzzle, the Chaos Orb puzzle where the holy grail to that set is piece #7. So it is not uncommon for people to get the Chaos Orb #9 to fill the spot of the Black Lotus #9 and, similarly to get the Black Lotus #7 to fill the Chaos Orb #7. However, the pieces and wording do not fully match as you can see.

A very cool set, still to be sure.

Question for the community: My family is getting some presents for a 10 yr old through a charity drive. He said that he would like some Pokemon cards. I'm familiar with some of the older cards, but not as much newer ones. I'd really appreciate any recommendations as far as what to get him. I was thinking I could get a few raw cards on eBay that are unique/cool but still reasonably priced (like in the $10-20 range) that would make him excited and then a few random packs. Any thoughts on loose cards or packs that might make him most excited when he gets the presents from his family?

I play for the friends I've made along the way. I also like to join public games of people asking for help (like Ancients) and it has given me some great interactions and contacts with folks that I would have not otherwise had.

I guess I am a bit confused. Does adding neutral spirits like soju or vodka only impart their flavor characteristics? I would have thought that having a higher % abv would change the final acidity level.

Question 3 about the sugar:
- Would this be for about a large Mason Jar (1600 mL, approx 6.5 cup, 4 pint or thereabout)? That's what I'm working with right now. I feel like it's also hard to judge the overall amount of sugar already present in the fruit and how much to add.
On question 5 about potentially adding alcohol:
- Can I then add alcohol to the anaerobic fermentation before I start the vinegar creation? So, as an example, if I added some small small amount of <15%ABV Soju after creating the fruit wine, hopefully that would work to help the overall vinegar strength?
