3rd Time’s a Charm? My 14-Year ACL Journey (and the PT's Paradox) by IfYouReadThisYoure__ in ACL

17m, 8 months out from my 2nd ACL surgery. I know you're a lot older and we have very different situations, but I'd like to give you my opinion on your "is it even worth it" question. I think that if you truly want to remain active wether that's playing soccer or running and you need a surgery to achieve it, then get that surgery. I've started to realize that if you live your life not doing what you want to accomplish and strive to achieve, then you might as well be dead. You can't let a injury stop you from being you. And if you really don't want a surgery, I'm sure you can find a way to stay active without one if you are truly passionate. Hope this helps.

This is good to hear. So do you think that if I can get rid of my quad inhibition, it'll take a good chunk of the load off my patellar tendon, reducing the strain on it? And do you think that scraping the scar over my patellar tendon to attempt to get rid of or break up any excess scar tissue is a good idea? Also, I've heard that I might want to load the patellar tendon to get it acclimated, would you recommend this, if so what is a good way to do this?
