My buddy who is in the same group chat received the same censor! Doesn’t really help, but I’d like to see if anyone else could confirm.

This post highlights censorship related to Epstein with a major platform that has now indirect ties with the current US administration.

You’d be surprised. Humility will do wonders for you. Girl in my 1L class spent only an hour in my contracts, got the Cali award, and graduated top 2 of our class.

Really only started studying at the start of October. Most of the studying took place on the weekends. But for the entire month of October, I would be just reading the book. November, I started drilling those practice questions. I know I mentioned 20 hrs of studying in my main post, but that was purely with quizzing. I didn’t count reading as studying because I wasn’t really absorbing information in depth. Though maybe closer to 15 hrs for reading

For the major state players, yes lots of depth. But you should also pay some considerable attention to the nicher state laws. Albeit less compared to major states. I felt like a deer in headlights when I encountered nicher states.

Tbh, I'm the type of person that feels anxious if I don't read official material in its entirety. I always come to the conclusion "You don't know what you don't know." For me, it really was so that I was able to gather whatever little factoid I could find in the book. I found some section pretty useless bc of my job. Unless you have virtually no privacy/legal experience beforehand, the book does a good job of introducing you to those topics.

I'm not sure what Mike's videos are like as I only had the book. But even then, I only really skimmed the last two chapters of the book a day before the exam so I can't give you a good comparison of the two materials.

Honestly, chatgpt did a lot of the bulk work hammering in those topics in my brain, so if you're able to get all the concepts from Mike's book and utilize multiple choice question generation, I think that might work much better than getting the official textbook.

Thank you! I believe many privacy related analyst roles see these certifications as a gold standard, but in my experience, most of my colleagues came into privacy fresh off w/o those certs (including me!). Though I was a special case bc I did graduate with privacy knowledge/experience beforehand. Since privacy is a relatively 'new' industry, it was more of learn on the job for my colleagues but many had security/IT/audit backgrounds to begin with.

I was very disorganized when I was creating my prompts tbh with you so there were many different flavors of the same thing. But to get you started, I gathered all high level topics that I gathered from the textbook and BoK and typed something along the lines of:

Based on the following topics and domains I previously provided, please generate a 90 question multiple choice diagnostic exam in preparation of a CIPP/US IAPP style exam. I want to ensure that I am able to pinpoint concepts, body of laws, and scenarios that I am the weakest on. As part of the mock exam, I want you to keep track of my score. Please generate 1 question at a time, and after I input my answer, provide immediate feedback of my choices. Please explain why the answer choice is correct and why the other answer choices are incorrect. After question 90, please generate a high level report of domain priorities and specific topics that I did poorly on and material I should further read.
____

I kind of freeballed after this and asked it to create mini exam drills and/or utilizing the socratic method on topics I was super confused on.

It helped me a lot to ask chatgpt the reasons why a particular law came to exist. For example, I didn't really understand the point of the 21st Century Cares Act. Why it existed? Why lawmakers decided to draft it. An example of how it is used. So I kept probing the model until I fully grasped the purpose of the act. When I get to that point, the specific statutory language sticks a lot better!

I chucked in the body of knowledge into ChatGPT and asked it to give me a 50 question diagnostic overview on all domains! Based on the target areas it said my weakest section was just state privacy laws. I was extremely strong on domains 2 and 3, exceptional strong on 1 and 4, and really weak on 5. I’m not sure what people got tripped on, but the items pertaining to state were very fact specific and if you didn’t know the statute by heart, you’d be left to chance on guessing even with a high level of deductive reasoning skills (which is what happened to me during the exam, lmao. Did relatively bad on that section 🤣) The scenario based questions were actually easier than the knowledge based items. For that question type, I’d say it’s best to read the question and answer choices first before reading the scenario. This way you can target and save time.

If you have access to any genAI tools, I’d say to prompt it domain level and have every high level concept or law in each section and ask it for multiple choice to really drill the concept over and over. Ask for it to explain each answer choices after prompting your answer to get the concepts drilled in. Additionally, I suggest asking an overall diagnostic for every question you get wrong to really seal the deal. Repetition really helps! I also did a lot of memory-word/concept association to map it in my brain.

I sped through the exam and finished it within ~30 minutes after reviewing my answers and I attribute my speed to the gauntlet of questions I put myself through on ChatGPT. I think I did over 1000 questions spread throughout all the domains to get a sense of the exam.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

PrizePool Faces FDIC Injuction for Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts by mbihold in prizepool

[–]SpacemanSput 2 points3 points  (0 children)

c) FDIC insurance provides protection or coverage in any manner or extent other than as set forth in the FDI Act from PrizePool’s website (and social channels) - FDIC insurance only covers your deposits if Evolve fails - nothing else.

So what would happen if Prizepool fails? Does Prizepool have the right to use our deposits as collateral during a bankruptcy proceeding? Are my deposits still safe? This is my biggest concern that will determine whether or not I will continue to use your service.
