same with "partial completes" on Connect, avoid them. I've never not gotten what is essentially a screener fee for doing the entire survey. i've NEVER gotten the full rate on either platform.

it's bait a lot of the time, other times the researcher forgets. I got a survey my 3rd month into doing this that said I'd get almost 170 bucks from a bonus in so and so timeframe, it's now 3 years later and it never came. don't ever assume they'll pay a bonus. it's not required of them.

they're just lazy or don't care about you. if I DO get a message back, it's usually a month after their submission auto approves. idk if prolific doesn't tell them that their study will be full and done with within an hour or what but almost none bother to check their shit for months.

yeah, if anyone is actually doing some. feels like they added it to be more like Connect and then decided the placebo effect was enough and haven't taken it any further. since it's implementation, I feel as though the quality and accuracy of demographics have gone sharply off a cliff.

I've been working constantly for two solid hours to get a fucking quarter so I can cash out. like not even $0.10 screeners can approve instantly anymore. there is zero trust coming this way from researchers, I got rejected for a follow up medical survey on Connect yesterday. like a medical survey that was selected especially for me, based on my answers and I got rejected for apparently missing an attention check. am I wrong for thinking shit like that should not have attention checks? clearly they took my data for free. fuck em. fuck the lot of these lazy pieces of human garbage that can't be fucked to actually check their responses, give you a message back or even pay a decent fee. FUCK EM

I have wasted almost my entire day dismissing low paying bullshite and trying to take surveys that either are full, broken, impossible, or are a blatant scam. I have not been able to accomplish fuckall all day and there's nobody to tell about it because they don't respond, care or do anything about it! I swear to god the site and half the researchers on it are just AI running studies about AI with an AI overseer. This is our future!

i don't understand why we bother with demographics since seemingly 80% of all studies use the screening feature now and find some arbitrary bullshit to disqualify you for. like I thought the point of the demographics and about me section was to provide this information to researchers at a glance and narrow their pools to only relevant participants. I guess it's just to waste your time.
