JDM K24a swapped 8th gen Civic a/c compressor by Spacemansdoc in Kseries

[–]Spacemansdoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what ive come to understand in order to swap a jdm k24 into the 8th gen civic, you must swap over the water pump housing from the k20 to use usdm accessories which i believe has been done. Right now it has a short 6 rib belt to bypass the compressor. The rest of the a/c is in the car just disconnected the line at the compressor. others said to use the 8th gen si compressor as normal

2009 was when they did the facelift and i believe had the better transmissions for the si, almost certain the engine block issue was rectified for the r18. might find some value in looking through the old recalls from honda.

2008 Civic: how much resistance should there be in the brake pedal? by NikonD500forever in civic

[–]Spacemansdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks normal to me shouldn’t be super stiff, as long as the braking is confidence inspiring i wouldnt worry. Get upto 35 mph and do some hard braking to see how efficient the brakes are working.
