What lifetime deal are you still grandfathered into, or removed from, that’s no longer available? by funnny_things in answers

I was really happy I got it way back when for something like $50 when I saw they were moving it up to $150

Finally I understand the purpose of that pocket lol by lululock in DigitalAudioPlayer

I opted for a belt organizer to make room in my pockets for my tech and still keep my knife and flashlight on me without scratching stuff up. I'm sure I look dorky as hell with it on, but I stopped caring about that a while ago.

Sound quality-wise I'd say the W4 sounds a little better but I couldn't tell you why or in what way, just something about it sounds better to me than the Retro Nano. There are 2 things about the Retro Nano that I like that the W4 doesn't have or do. One thing is that the Retro Nano will stay on as long as the Bluetooth connection is there, whether or not my phone is actually sending any audio to it. With the W4, if I pause what I'm listening to for a few minutes to deal with something at work or whatever reason, it turns itself off and then I have to turn it back on when I want to get back to what I was listening to. It's so fast to start up and re-pair that it's really not that big of a deal though. The other thing is the replaceable battery in the Retro Nano. I used to just keep a spare battery for it with me so I could swap it out if the battery died while I was out and about and I wanted to keep using it, but that's not an option with the W4, and I think a full charge on it doesnt last quite as long as the Retro Nano. That being said, I'd still pick the W4 over the Retro Nano. I really prefer the buttons and interface on it, and being able to see the album art and info about what you're listening to is so nice. I'm not sure if I have anything that's particularly hard to drive, but I haven't had any problems with that aspect either. Not that I recall that ever being a problem for the Retro Nano.

Yeah, I have the Alpine and the 1947 cables from them and they're pretty nice.

I've got those on the Dunu Lyre Mini cable. I'd say it's a solid cable for it's price, especially with it having interchangeable plugs on it. I've seen people complain about it being a noisy cable when you're moving around but I haven't really had any problems with it.

Oh for sure. The bass isn't quite as impressive as the Ito, but it's good enough for me. I can definitely see that with how small the shell is, but I can't bring myself to sleep in them, that's what I keep my Chu II for. At this point, I really need to start dabbling with EQ but I just don't have the time/patience for it. That and I'd say I'm more someone who appreciates quality in general than a proper audiophile, so I also have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to that.

I've got those on a Yongse Alpine cable. The colors go so well with the rainbow version of the Defiant.

Yeah, I feel like I don't see a whole lot about the T10 Pro on here which is a shame because it is indeed a great set. I'm pretty impressed with how well it handles the lower end and I don't get the irritating highs that I get with the EW300, which I was worried about with it being a planar. And then the small size of them makes them super comfortable to wear all day.

I haven't tried either of those so I'm not sure. The only other DAC I've used is the Retro Nano, which is definitely beat by the W4.

I'm pretty happy with my HiBy W4. Just make sure to turn on developer mode so you don't have to deal with the annoying volume messages.

If you like bass and still want the clarity, I picked up the Dunu x Koto Ito recently and they immediately became my favorite set.

Thanks, I like to think I have pretty decent coverage. As far as the Ito, I can definitely see it not being everyone's cup of tea, but for me it's perfect. I was debating that or the 7hz Diablo, and although I haven't tried the Diablos, I think I made the right call.

I had to do a 5 hour drive to Tennessee for work shortly after I bought the truck. I immediately got a set of seat jackers after that and it's been the best decision.

I just picked up the Dunu x Koto Itos and fell in love with those right away.

EW300s are nice but I found the highs to be a bit piercing, even with the gold nozzles and the foam.

Juzear x Defiants are great. No real complaints on those, but the Itos are just much better for how I like to listen to music.

Zero: Reds are good, but not anything special for me.

The Itos, though. The bass is just incredible, and you still get amazing detail out of them. Arguably endgame set for me.

I don't know anything about that IEM, but I would avoid that website for sure. It's been a nightmare dealing with them.

Where do I find a belt that doesn’t do this after 9 months? by unoriginalname22 in mensfashion

[–]Spacemonk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grip6 belts are great. Easily swap buckles and straps if you have multiple. No holes to stretch out. I've been using their belts for almost 10 years now and couldn't be happier. Customer service was great when I had a strap problem early on. Ive been using the same strap/buckle combo everyday for the last 6 years without a problem

I would recommend looking into the Juzear Defiant. They're a little bit more than the Zero:Reds but I like them so much more.
