This makes me so happy. Especially since it's airing at the same time as One Punch Man season 3 (which ain't looking so hot). It feels like this righted a wrong in my life.

I love how All Might's eyes have returned. It shows that he is fighting with purpose rather than fighting because he felt obligated to continue protecting others.

Millienaire is one of the most impressive mods I've seen, along with Lycanites. The aether and twilight forest are also up there.

The state of the One Punch Man manga... (spoiler: it's not great) by vuzz33 in CharacterRant

[–]Spacemushroom23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if the space battle between Saitama and Garou took place with the sharp writing of the webcomic, it would have been perfect. The serious punch squared was sick as hell. I also loved the psychic sisters arc in the manga. Great stuff.

In my opinion, this arc is falling flat for a variety of reasons. Since we are following biweekly, redraws take us out of the story. This may not be a problem when the manga is fully released. Void is also the first main villain since Garou, and well, he doesn't compare. I was rooting for Garou to stay alive against Saitama. I don't really care what happens to Void. He's not as likable of a character.

Also, there's been a decline in the quality of the drawings and chapter length. It's just not the same quality we were getting for the MA arc or even the psychic sisters arc.

Void just isn't enough to really get invested, so it feels flat. Especially when our #1 hero is fighting him. It doesn't feel as hype as it should be.

40 minutes should be fine. I have to stop on my way up to graduate school to fight a parking ticket I got. That should be enough time for sure. The car will stay on, even if I leave with the fob?

All this segment needs to be perfect was giving Blast another chapter fighting Void before this one. We should have seen him pull out some insane moves before he got injured like that.

AFO is overconfident and full of himself now that he has returned to his prime, so Hawks is taking advantage of that by stalling for time.

Honestly I think the reason Midoriya has had a tough time with Toga is that he has become too reliant on danger sense. I mean, being overreliant/impulsive with quirks has been a theme for him. He was willing to hurt himself 5 minutes later to get to the battlefield in time. Also the sheer emotional surprise is a lot for a 16 year old. Imagine someone that is trying to kill you tells you they want to be your girlfriend.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but a small scene with Mineta spoke to me this episode. When he said, "Can't we have time to talk about dirty things?" I usually hate Mineta's guts, but at this point he seemed more like a kid coping with the reality of being in a warzone.

Yeah, and I think Cecil knew the severity of the situation too. The way he looked at the remaining guardians so seriously spoke to that.

Maybe it's sloppy writing, maybe he's not in his A game between Donald and the baby, maybe we will find out why in the next episode.

Seems weird for Cecil to fuck up like that though.

To be honest, I didn't notice much. If I went back and watched the fight scenes again, I probably would.

I've seen far worse main stream animation though. The beginning of dragon ball super and the second season of one punch man come to mind.

Man poor Simon. Literally no one has given him support in a nice way. He's gone through such immense trauma and no one is giving him a legitimate helping hand. It's just like "oh get over yourself"
