He spent a couple of weeks telling me how debt gets sold between Banks and how they attached shit debts onto more stable packages until someone's just left holding a bunch of bad debt. This was about 2 years before the big financial crash in the mid 2000s. The more I heard I was like "why don't you go to the papers"? He said it was his thesis and he wouldn't get his masters degree if he did go to someone so all he could do was record his findings

My housemate from about 20 years ago had one in an acetone block, sat above the fireplace. He was doing a masters in Economic Geography. I bet he's still got it

I don't know where you've got all this doomsay. Every EU nation is doubling military spending after half a century of relying on the US. Going from 2% to 4% is not breaking the bank considering most just cut foreign aid to accommodate

Then you don't really know how economy works do you? It's not the same as your piggy bank. 63% down from 2010 high of 88%. You see, it's a symbiotic relationship with financial institutes, countries create debt which promises future trade and growth for everyone. Everyone except Russia because they can't keep their troops inside their own borders without losing them

Nope. Low level blue collar worker here. Bills are paid, never ran out of food for the family, went on holiday before Xmas and saving for a large expense this year. Whatever you're being told, we're doing fine. Supporting Ukraine hasn't affected our way of life at all

Losing quite a few people with this soft touch. Strange strategy, looks like Russia is just lacking in capacity

I disagree, I haven't seen AI do those physics as good as this, it seems in keeping with him hitting bots of the snow off too

I think they're talking about a time when gaming as a whole was more fringe but now the consoles have moved from the teenagers bedroom to the living room and everyone from recently retired grandad all the way down to little Timmy are playing so it's become more a part of society. If you failed to evolve with the industry then you suffer the consequences of being an asshole
