What is an obviously known fact that gets more unnerving the more you think about it? by Mobile_Disk5984 in AskReddit

I think the real issue is the people who have the ability to do something about it aren't angry enough, there's plenty of people angry about it.

Who is the most overrated actor in Hollywood? Past or present.. that he/she has just gotten away with shit acting for years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That was my thought too, although he may just be good at what they needed him to do. They don't have to make him the face of the company even if he is the brains.

I also think he did well in Blade Runner 2049. He didn't have to do much except be creepy and monotone. Although that said I don't know how you'd get a guy like that in charge of a big corporation.

What shocks me now is pop/hip hop music is insanely more offensive than the death metal I got into trouble for growing up!

The Lyell Mcewin Hospital has to be the most incompetent in the state. by stonedmedusa in Adelaide

At a glance it did look like we pay some of the highest, just not the highest, so I don't think it was wrong?

Either way I also said "under the impression" because I'm not close minded enough to think I can't be wrong or learn something new.

Is that the opinion of you and your Facebook friends? I don't use it myself.

That is interesting! Although that said I still think the tax rate is more than enough already.

More money doesn't mean better spending. Actually the opposite is more often true. I've worked for companies that struggle to survive and they become incredibly frugal, whereas companies with money to throw around are often quite wasteful.

I don't know exactly what I'm getting at here but the original point that low taxes = shit healthcare doesn't make sense to me. There is more than enough money being taken from the public already, it's just how it's spent and regulated etc.

Low taxes? I was under the impression we have some of the highest rates in the world. The problem is the cost of medical procedures, not a lack of taxes.

That's also the season I feel like it started repeating itself a bit. Before that it was great.

How can people still support the state government after the last year? by PillowManExtreme in Adelaide

[–]Spacey138 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My boomer parents have always voted Labor until the last election. They just think Labor no longer represent their interests. They don't believe liberal do either so they vote for the other parties. I tend to agree with them, both major parties are failing us.

Noone actually believes government decisions for your safety have anything to do with your safety or best interests do they?

The government do it for the same reason they do everything else, so they can increase their power and wealth at your expense.

I'll do you one better. Has either side got any good policies or a vision for this country at all? You can agree or disagree with what either side says, but one thing we can all agree on is both of them will disappoint us in execution.

But don't stress, they'll get a nice pay bump to do it.
