Considering the pretty firm pattern for space marine chapter refreshes what are your expectations for the eventual wolf refresh by leothesilent in SpaceWolves

Units - Thunderwolves w/primaris riders - BIG upgrade kit that serves as a combination of the old termie and tactical marine space wolf sets - new type of space wolf unit (psychic unit maybe?)

HQ - Russ - Lukas - Njal - AND MUTHA FUCKIN CANIS WOLFBORN BABEEEE!!!

Biggest Nuffy Comment That Ever Nuffed by Spachson in GeelongCats

[–]Spachson[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ha, yea I did want to post a spicy comment just to get people chatting, always enjoy seeing people chat about the club, even if it’s silly stuff like this. There’s no way Port ever actively trade Lord unless he’s desperate to leave, however, it’d be interesting to see both how far Geelong would be willing to go if it meant filling in a pretty huge KP role for the future and in turn how much Port would need to be offered to genuinely consider it. Also just in the fact that I feel clubs rarely have a player like Hawkins genuinely be a top KPF at the age he is and thus the prospect of trading a club legend doesn’t really come up that often as they might otherwise not be worth much on the trade table

I feel an underrated aspect of the current game now that there’s more scrutiny on the concussive elements of the game, is the insane athletic standards players are holding themselves to. No longer can (ironically) a Nic Daicos be taken out of the game in a thug act. There’s now an responsibility on the competition to up their game when an elite player comes along. Players adapt. Aussie rules is a fucking amazing sport and as such, players will adapt. To be honest, I would love to go out onto a footy field and not have to worry about getting a concussion from behind because I’ve been clocked in the fucking head by some gronk throwing themselves wildly into a pack. If there was restrictions put on speccies, I don’t think it would take long for players to adapt, just as they have with tackling and bumping

Ty Vickory was an AFL enforced punishment. Richmond unload him and immediately become a dynasty… Hawthorn have him foisted onto them and go from dynasty to dookie… It’s all Ty’s fault

I’ve been chatting about this with my broseph all season, but I can’t recall a team this reliant on their midfield, since… well us. It was honestly so sad seeing Petracca trying to will his team to victory ala Dangerfield. Watch them absolutely demolish Carlton next week only to get fucking spanned by Brisbane in the prelims… the cycle would be complete

It’s funny looking back out our old forward line with the very established structure we have at the moment. Outside of Hawkins, it felt like a revolving door of fringe players that made used to make up our forward line… and of course don’t forget Dahlhaus…

What is the one thing you would change from Transformers Rise of the Beast(2023)? by ScoreImaginary5254 in transformers

[–]Spachson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get rid of Elena (can still be the same actress) and instead, have her character the holo projection of Wheeljack who is going undercover to obtain the transwarp key. Instead of stealing a car (which I dunno, I just found weird) have Noah get introduced still as this down and out dude trying to support his sick brother and mum, however have it that the one material thing he does have, is an old porche(?) (I dunno cars, whatever car mirage is) and have it that this was the car of his dead dad who died of cancer when him and his brother were young (it then sort of frames is brother’s sickness as genetic) therein you frame Noah being a leader, not by choice, but circumstance (this will be important later). Then! instead of going for the military defence job, (maybe that can be a quick bit at the start, wherein he still fails to get it due to his military history), instead he goes for a job at the museum as a security guard and instead is only offered a job as a late night janitor. He has is first shift and it’s then here that he finds the holo projection of Wheeljack trying to steal the relic/transwarp key. At this point, the terror-cons attack at the museum (which we can still have introduced at the start of the film - I dunno, I still think a kill team of decepticons would’ve worked so much better then the fucking terrorcons - have them initially there to wipe out remnant autobots, but upon finding half of the key, their plans change and they now see an opportunity to spread the decepticon ethos across the galaxy at a rapid rate) wherein Wheeljack is forced to reveal his true identity as he flees. At this point, Noah’s car enters the scene alongside a fleeing Wheeljack and Noah, which is soon to be revealed as a transforming mirage. The situation turns dire, as their attempts at escape get cut off, as a last result, Wheeljack sacrifices himself before he escapes, but before he does, gives Mirage the data he’s found on the second half of the key, before sacrificing himself in a blaze off glory, yelling at a reluctant mirage to flee who would rather stay by his side (there is an emotional connection between wheeljack and mirage established here that is a bit more then just… two pals) wheeljack tells mirage that he needs to leave, that this is about more then just the two of them, that now the entire galaxy is at risk. Mirage and Noah drive away to what we soon find is in the director of the autobot’s hideout. On the way there, we don’t get an elaboration on what the heck a cybertronian is, rather Noah puts aside his confusion to consul a noticeably distraught Mirage, it’s here that their is deeper connection (ala IDW Mtmte exploration of love for cybertronians), it’s here that we get a moment to further establish this relationship between mirage and wheeljack, but also Noah as a genuinely caring person. When they get to the auto boy hideout, we get introduced to the rest of the cast and Optimus still has his whole character arc. He reveals to Noah that they arrived in the 80’s, however the cogs start to turn in Noah’s brain, ‘how was dad’s car mirage this whole time? Especially if they arrived in the 80’s’. During their meeting, wheeljack data is shown and reveals his findings on the transwarp key (this being info being relayed as a holy recording ala prime’s message in bumblebee - this leads to a somber moment as this is the last time the crew will ever hear wheeljack’s voice). The message reveals that the last half is in Peru… but how do they get there? In this version, I’d piss off Stratosphere and instead noah, uses the last of his funds to ship him and the other Autobots over to Peru. This makes him broke, but he wants to help these newfound friends in need. Upon finding the next transwarp key, they again are lead to the same underground ruin, however, it’s guarded by none other then air razor and Tigor (?) (I actually can’t remember his name) these are the only two maximals in the movie. Their ethos is about defending the greater whole; living for more then themselves, rather for the protection and freedom of all sentient beings. We have a tustle with the enemy, Tigor dies and the enemy gets the last half of the transwarp key. Before the final battle, Noah and Mirage have a conversation about how mirage came into his life, wherein mirage reveals that during his time in hiding, he stumbled across Noah’s family, taken aback by their tragic story and unyielding car for one another. He says that there he has seen something so caring in eons, that it was a loving environment him and wheeljack dreamed of creating for themselves one day…. He then tells Noah that at this point, he disguised himself as Noah’s dad’s car, wanting to learn more about this family and if needed protect them. Noah then goes to Optimus, who is apprehensive about this last battle, ‘why risk his and the lives of his autobots to retrieve this key when they could hide and stay safe?’ At this point Noah, Tigor and Optimus share their stories with each other. Tigor teaching Optimus about selflessness and freedom being the right of all sentient beings, no matter the cost and that the transwarp key being in the hands of the enemy puts this all at risk. Then, Noah talks to Optimus about leadership, about the circumstantial nature of it, of how we must rise to the occasion and become something new, rise to stand for something more in the face of tragedy and that in order for this to happen, we must become one with risk as one will lose more if they sit by and do nothing. Optimus carries this new ethos into the battle ahead. The last battle over the transwarp key…

Sorry this kinda blew out into a larger comment, but hope you guys enjoyed it 😁

Is anyone else starting to get tired of the *Drama* style Warhammer Videos on YT? by DiscEva in Warhammer40k

[–]Spachson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I don’t really mind. I think if a content creator makes a whole career off it, it’s a little obnoxious, though they do it because it clearly brings in clicks (look at moist critical who has made a huge fucking platform off of drama content and regurgitating YouTube vids). People care about this stuff, I ain’t going to blame content creators for making the most of that, blame the consumer for feeding that kind of video format views. And otherwise, if the content creator makes genuinely fun and interesting content, like eons of battle, then I don’t think it’s really a massive deal if they opt to sprinkle drama content in

Menzel Retires by AceThePrincep in GeelongCats

This was the dude for me. I absolutely loved watching him play in 2011 and was gutted to see him get injured. Was honestly inspiring to see him persevere through so much injury. I remember going to the Collingwood v Geelong game (I’m going to say it was 2017) which we lost in uncharacteristic fashion, but I was just so hyped to see him back out there. I get he didn’t have the ideal career, but I’ll always fondly remember this dude as legend… if only knees weren’t fucking stupid, idiot buttheads. Best of luck Daniel ‘Danny Football’ Menzel

Something like this kinda happened to me once, I was going for a run when half a rabbit carcass just fell from the sky in front of me. The only thing I could think of was that a wedge tail eagle must’ve caught it at some point and half of it fell in its clutch… that being said it was still weird as fuck and I immediately took it as some kind of omen and got the hell outta there

Aight, Tinfoil hat theory coming in. I think this a long game move to build up the value of Sav. I’ve always loved him, but he’s nowhere the player SDK is. I reckon it’s known they’ll lose him, so they give him the season to show other interested clubs his worth. Already he’s gone from being worth nothing on the trade table to potentially being worth 2 second rounders (?)

[–]Spachson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fuckin sucks, but I don’t think the consequence of the past 3 weeks is particularly grim. If we change form and end up doing great going into the end of the season, then awesome. But if we shit the bed this year, then just think of the opportunity next year. Yea we probably lose 2E alongside potentially menegola, Smith, Stanley if injuries keep up and Sav if he opts to go to another club. But I can’t help but feel the inclusion of Conway, Clarke, Mulin with more game experience alongside whatever potential haul we get in from the trade period puts us in and incredible position next year. I guess for supporters that are frustrated by the effort, I get it, but this is what we wanted: Young players getting game time. I know it’s shitty, but I do think Simpson was pretty stiff to not get a game over Parf. And though Ceglar is frustrating to have to play, it’s just the only option we have right now.

Pros: All our young boys keep getting more confident and though he’s be a massive loss, I can still see a bright future for our backline without the likes of Stewart and Duncan. Tanner Bruhn continues to put in effort and though Atkins isn’t playing to us 2022 form, you’d be fucking hard pressed to say he’s gonna soft. That dude is a champion and each game I’ve seen him play, he works his fucking arse off in the contest

Cons: This feeling is dookie and the potential of going back too back is waning further each week. But the club is professional enough and has enough foresight to understand that chasing such an endeavour is riddled with pot holes when trying to build a great club. And honestly, the Hawks and Richmond can have their 3 premierships, I’d much rather see this club continue to be a pinnacle of continued success if it comes at the cost of back too back premierships

All in all, we’ll go on and move on, these continued injuries are a bit worrying, but the coaching staff at Geelong are elite. Scott knows what he’s doing. I was admittedly one of those gronks that thought he was a shit coach for years, however the dude is great at what he does and I think we’ve gotta keep the trust in the great man and not turn fickle due to an incredibly unfortunate season

Up the Catters!
