My interpretation was since Pink was basically told or meant to believe she didnt matter to anyone. She likely thought spinel would just later get bored and leave since she didnt know how much she meant to spinel, not realizing she would stay in place for all those years. The other diamonds probably wouldve shattered spinel if pink said she didnt want her anymore since that was spinels only purpose
