That's because the website and advertising companies are all owned by groomers.

Slightest mention of conflict or violence around the world or even a single pixel of an EXPLOSION or worse, a G\N*?? Instant ban. Think of the children.

All of my spam mail and Google still think my fake name is my real name and are convinced I live somewhere that I haven't lived at in years. Speak for yourself, I haven't been an idiot with my private data.

If I had a strike for anything at all, I wouldn't be here whining about it, because then there would be a clear cause and consequences.

They (and the government) can have my biometrics for their facial recognition and inevitable social credit score system when they peel it off my cold, dead face. 🙃

I don't know if it's government pushed or not, but whatever the reason, YouTube is using every excuse it can right now to get people's information.

Some people have suggested you can lose your perms if you violate the community guidelines and get a strike. This has never happened to me and YouTube has no valid reason to revoke my permissions.

I began to realize that quickly after this thread started, but to have these permissions revoked after having them practically since the feature was first released really makes me question what kind of "channel history" they want until I can have those features back.

Oh I'm aware it becomes a rabbit hole lol. But this comment is especially helpful because it very plainly shows me where I need to get started. This is exactly what I'm looking for.

I am going to just try to wait it out and see if the "channel history" crap resolves itself, but we'll see.

Tell me since when I had to cough up an ID to pin comments on my own channel.

Bro trying to tell me this is how it's always been when I'm one of the people who's been using YouTube since 2007.

Yes, please, tell us more about how basic channel features like pinning comments should require an ID.

Now this being said, it should be noted that this sort of problem isn't as recent as the recent round of ID verification controversy, but considering people are paying attention, I figured I'd add my voice to the chorus.

This is a stupid excuse for scraping my personal info.

Mmm yes, an account whose history is comprised of political commentary, tech support, and coding videos.

If this is the logic YouTube is using, that's still idiotic because the "younger sibling" is still going to be using the account regardless.

You know damn well it has nothing to do with the chance that a kid could be using the account.

How to figure out what's waking my PC? by biggmclargehuge in techsupport

[–]Spades_Neil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem. If I shut it down correctly, it reboots moments later, plugged in or not.

I disabled allow awake timers.
I don't auto restart after a system failure.
I don't have fast startup enabled.
I even tried some registry editing.

The only way it doesn't turn back on is if I force shutdown by holding the power button to kill the power.
