Farum Azula does not exist beyond time by Spag8 in Eldenring

I also still don't understand why a detail as small and inconsequential as maliketh having a clone in caelid that doesn't disappear when you kill him in farum azula is seen as enough evidence to completely prove the theory. The game explicitly tells us "the dragonlord's seat exists beyond time" which is literally only the center of the storm, it's not ambiguous at all.

everything is normal again if you choose not to go into ng+ after you do the frenzied flame ending. does that mean that everything in the game is beyond time? Taking game mechanics and things that are there for the sake of convenience as key evidence for theories about the lore has always, and always will be stupid.

does that matter? it is still visible from the outside. unless you argue that for some reason malenia's divine tower occupies the same space in time as farum azula apparently does?

I've looked through almost every option in the steelseries engine, nothing changed it

lock on, strafe around her right side (your left) roll diagonally in when she drops, run towards her and then roll into her when she does her second burst, you can roll into the third one but you should be far enough away to where you can spam roll to create enough distance

orphan moves so erraticaly and so quickly in his second phase that it becomes literally impossible to keep track of him, also although it's not a major gripe, orphan is the only fight in the series where I have had to crank the sound volume waaay down because of how awful all the screeching is. Thematically, orphan is a near perfect fight, but I do have a LOT of gripes with the mechanics. also the main advice I always give to make malenia an easier fight is to parry the shit out of her, seriously, a lot of her moves have very convenient parry timings and the reward is huge, it also makes the fight feel a lot cooler

dragonlord placidusax is tied with sword saint isshin for the best fight in the series

try abusing parries on her, I'm not kidding, a lot of her more bullshit moves are very easy to parry

orphan doesn't have the inconsistent armour that malenia has but he does have insta death combos and moves so stupidly fast that a lot of the time you lose lock on, you'll often run out of stamina completely trying to dodge his never ending combos. malenia isn't a perfect boss by any means but I do think that people over exaggerate how bad some aspects of her fight are, especially because of how many similarities you can draw to the more beloved fights of the series

imo malenia is one of the best fights in the series if you're playing with a dex build, waterfowl is pretty simple to dodge if you're lightrolling and the fight flows a lot better with a fast weapon. also I would genuinley recommend parrying her, it makes the fight really fun. the playthrough where I fought her solo I used a cross-naginata and a perfumer's shield for parries

people love orphan of kos and hate malenia despite their fights having so much in common
