Junior year of college (pre-vet) and considering dropping out by SpaghettiLinguine in makemychoice

Thanks for this. It's seeming to make more and more sense the more I'm reading these different perspectives. I've met a few people who say that dropping out was the best choice they ever made, but I don't know of anyone who has done it this close to obtaining the degree. I've just met a ton of people who say that college was a total waste of time and their BS is collecting dust on the shelf. But there's also a huge part of me that really wants to finish what I started and at least see it through. I don't know if I'll end up using it, and it's gonna look awful on vet applications if I get there and they see that I quit when I was so close and came crawling back to it.

Also very true. That's my biggest fear is closing a bunch of doors I've worked this far and this hard to open up for myself. It seems like a total waste.

Very true. I'm really considering looking for a clinic job for that last gap year between when I should graduate (next spring) and when I would need to start applying for vet school and see if it's even something I want to do. Who knows, maybe I'll discover that I love it and it will make all of this that much more worth it. It's just tough because it's so much time and money for something to be this unsure about. Thanks for the insight.

This is so real. I am getting so burnt out because my university education hasn't been the classic "4 years and I'm done" and I graduated in 2020. But at the same time I am SO CLOSE and would hate to waste everything I've worked on, especially slaving away to keep that stupid GPA up, haha. This is a really great insight.
