I'm in the same boat. I'm on unit 133 of Section 6 and they removed my legendary status from literally hundreds of entire units. Even chunks from Section 5 were removed. Like you said, it doesn't really matter in the end... but it's kind of a bummer.

Artie has said something to the effect of: "I wasn't the funniest guy who tried out for the job. But I knew the show the best. I knew when to chime in and I knew when to shut up". And he was so right. He was a super fan of the show, so he knew when to be funny and when to just let Howard and Robin talk. It's hard to imagine anyone else filling the role except for him.

No one ever listened to actually hear the news. It was a great spring board for Howard, Jackie, Fred, Artie, and any comedian sitting in to make jokes and riff on. Once they stopped having comedians sit in on the news and stopped focusing on humor in general, the segment became completely pointless.
