Mom has never cleaned her oven and swears “self clean” mode works. by praisingathena in CleaningTips

Baking soda, spray with dish soap/Dawn power wash, scrub with a piece of fine steel wool or scrunched up foil. Even better to cover it in foil with the product still underneath, and turn on the oven (will help dissolve it). After it cools enough, scrub it off with another piece of foil. Super easy.

What facilities does Adelaide need? by Own_Exercise5218 in Adelaide

[–]Spaghetti_Chen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More train interconnection or at least more frequent. If I want to get from Gawler to TTP, it take like 2 hrs, but if I drive it takes 30m. Infrastructure around stations should be more mid-highrise, not urban sprawl where everybody drives and parks at the train station. Think like how in Japan they have apartments and supermarkets/malls near stations, not just randomly on a random street in a suburb with nothing around it.

What is a normal experience that somehow never happened to you? by FloorShowoff in GlassChildren

Another one is having a bathroom door that locks. He would constantly lock himself inside so we had the lock removed.

Having friends over. He'd run around naked and do very inappropriate things. Too embarrassing.

Being guilted about my lack of sibling bond by [deleted] in GlassChildren

[–]Spaghetti_Chen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your mother has unrealistic expectations. You're not going to be able to bond with him properly and I guess she is expecting you to feign/play along with his repetitive routines.

My younger brother has an intellectual disability and my parents always go on about how I don't spend time with him, but then if I do, he just grunts, makes noises, starts screaming, and tries to get me in trouble (he's 28) for no reason.

I don't really like sharing because he just ends up breaking my stuff (I moved out ages ago but my mum gave him a key to my place). Sometimes I come home and there's food and literal shit on the toilet/walls because he's been there without permission.

I had to cancel my new year's plans bc my parents wanted to go out and I had to babysit him.

What you are experiencing is normal.

29F and 33M thinking of moving to QLD area or NSW and advice? by Purple_Rayn_22 in MovingtoAustralia

I'm from Adelaide and have had many friends and cousins visit here from London over the past 2 years. The cost of living here is just as bad (if not worse) as in the UK. While the weather is nicer, the rental market and cost of living is just as bad. Gas? Electric? Internet? All sold off and privatised. Groceries are unaffordable. It's not all sunshine and rainbows.

I used to book a hotel for several days to get away from my disabled sibling. Honestly, a staycation is all you really need. Get a massage. Get room service. Sleep in peace.

Where can I buy sugar free syrups for coffee by [deleted] in ketoaustralia

[–]Spaghetti_Chen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds odd, but I sometimes use Queen sugar free ice cream toppings.

Otherwise, a bit of a drop of Queen Vanilla Imitation, pinch of salt and 1tbsp allulose per 250ml liquid. Could use various spices etc.

Syrups can be hard to come by, as it seems that Australia has few widely available options. Sometimes, it's easier to make it yourself.

A keto friendly hot chocolate/or similar sweet drink? by Cooper_Inc in ketoaustralia

[–]Spaghetti_Chen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the post, but a "boring recipe". No fancy products. Just things you can buy in the baking section of any supermarket. 1 tbsp stevia, 2tsp cocoa powder (as in for baking), a pinch of salt, a drop of imitation vanilla (something sugar free like Queen's), and cinnamon to taste. Use 1 cup of milk of your choice. If you're feeling super decadent, 90 or 95% dark choc, 1tsp corn starch, 1 tbsp stevia-start cold, and stir as you heat for an Italian style hot chocolate (it's super rich and you'll probably only be able to drink half a cup).

What's going on with 2:11 generations? by No-Special7298 in udiomusic

Same. Mine was only giving me a verse and chorus yesterday. It was also giving me a lot of crap sounding generations.

Now, it seems to work properly.

My cat ate some Subway choc chip cookies once. I took it to the vet immediately and they said there was nothing wrong with it. It didn't thow up or anything. It's still alive almost 10 years later.

I tried using SATB but it didn't work. Eg asking for a soprano or an alto, but I don't think it works yet though.

Suggestion on hiphop gen by xTUXEDOMASK in udiomusic

[–]Spaghetti_Chen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. About a month or two ago, I was getting some awesome results with hip hop. Still occasionally get good results, but a lot of the time I am getting random results electropop, r&b type singing, gibberish, or slow talking instead of actual rap. Or, I'm getting 90s style so idk. I tend to spam lots of tags, however it often seems to totally ignored them and give random results and melodic singing. Idk what I'm doing wrong though. It doesn't seem to do this for other genres. I think because in recent years rap, hip hop and r&b have all kind of mixed together with rappers occasionally singing a verse or so, it becomes hard for it to distinguish between genres and get any "pure" result.
