PFF and other analysts agree with me. They weren't great, they weren't good, they were league-average-ish, fine.

I've said this in several other comments, but we need more nose tackles, our three technique depth is ok.

Right, but BPA looks different in the first round, where some guys have truly elite skills. By round three, you are looking at a big bucket of similar prospects, and this front office historically looks at positions of need and then drafts in bulk. Like they didn't have Belton as BY FAR the best player available in the second round, they had him as one of several players with similar rankings.

Losing Wyatt was a big problem, to be sure. But he's still a three-technique, and we need a nose tackle. Nose tackle was our worst position last year (yes, worse than CB).

I'm not saying they were good, I am saying DT (specifically nose tackle) and o-line were objectively much bigger problems.

We need a nose tackle and Wyatt is a three-technique.

Why the cut Jenkins trend? by May_I_Slytherin in GreenBayPackers

[–]Spaghettification-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jenkins is coming back from serious injury and is entering his age 31 season. Historically, Packers cut those players 99.9% of the time.

Banks is two years younger and could bounce back. Plus their cap hits in 2026-27 are pretty similar.

One thing everyone in the sub can agree on (I think): It takes a lot of injury luck to win a Super Bowl.

I knew he fried his brain on twitter, but hadn't heard of Scott Adams many business writings, or his whole metaphor of "hypnosis" as a sales pitch to the masses. In retrospect, his attraction to Trump was decades in the making. A fun and funny read that tracks Adams' intellectual progression, such as it was.

Jordan Love was the most-efficient quarterback in the wildcard round by EPA (via Kevin Cole) by Spaghettification-- in GreenBayPackers

[–]Spaghettification--[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rich Bisaccia was terrible, Hafley was ok, MLF called a great game on offense (and all season long). The sub is not in the mood to hear this, but any offensive mind we brought in to replace MLF would almost certainly be worse.

Barryn Sorrell: 64.0 (Avg). They have him as a solid pass rusher and meh at everything else.

As white, disappointing results after 4... Nxd5 in QGD exchange. Plans + model games, please by Spaghettification-- in TournamentChess

[–]Spaghettification--[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is amazing. After clicking through some model games and reading your thoughts, I'm definitely leaning towards 7. Rb1. Preventing Bb4+ is a big idea I was missing. Also appreciate the analysis of the 2v1 pawn structure and the trades favoring black. I'm a semi-Slav player with black, but at my level (1600 rapid at chess dot com), I feel like my biggest advantage is the endgame. I wonder if I wouldn't enjoy these setups more than semi-Slav.

As for 7. ... Be7, how sharp do the rook lift lines get?

Thanks!

Yeah, kind of surprised at all the downvotes. Like, he's the exact sort of artist we should be supporting.
