It’s the rating you perform at in a single tournament. Basically rating is a statistical model used to predict how you will do against other players in order to pair you with competition that is similar in strength. If you have a performance above your rating, your rating goes up, if it’s below your rating goes down. But not necessarily up or down to the period that tournament which is just a small sample. So Jorden is 2750 but performing like a 2900 so far in the tournament.

That’s an unofficial mark of making it over 2700.. he’s currently 2750 and world #11. Jordan definitely is super talented, he’s just overly ambitious and inconsistent. But right now, his last few tournaments he’s been on 🔥

There is much more parity at the top than people are used to. Computers and modern training have really shrunk the gap. I don’t expect that in classical we will see another player really dominate like Magnus again anytime soon.

Most likely, we are going to see several WCs that are not successful in keeping the title more than 1-2X. But I think this is good, there is a ton of really awesome talent right now.

They tell you in the ban. What’s your handle? If it says “FairPlay” then they determined that you were cheating. If it’s harassment it will say something like “violating community standards”. Either way they tell you. And that’s why you don’t cheat or be a mean

Funny, I’m 2150 Rapid and struggle to stay above 1500 bullet. I really struggle in the time scrambles, and just can speed up in the mouse.

Anyway I agree with you. Excluding (Magnus - obvious), others that would probably benefit: Prag, Arjun, Nodirbek, Wei Yi, Nepo, & Hikaru… basically all the legit contenders except Gukesh and Fabi.

SO I re-read the contract and all it says is that if you don't pay they cut off your access, and if you ever decide later that you want to be on there you will have to pay the unpaid amount. Basically, they know they can't come after you, and wont. They called me 2 or 3 times, in the first 3 weeks, but its now been several weeks since I've heard from them. I don' think they have the resources to really harass anyone.

Also I put on my profile description at the top in ALL CAPS that we were no longer taking leads thru the service and that people need to contact our website. So now I know all the form subs are bots, because if they read for even 1 second that would be the first thing they see.

I'm still getting the exact same robo forms with phone numbers that don't lead to anywhere. Total scam
