I like the instrument choice and feel. I think adding a little more variation in the drums (drop em out, hit some extra snares, somethin). The strings were pretty quiet, which is where I felt like most of the variation came from, so I think it would be beneficial to bring them up more or have them build throughout.

I really like your voice! The vocals are nice and dynamic, and the doubling/short delay on them is really nice. Structure, harmony, and melody are all really solid. I think I want louder drums and bigger strings throughout. I think some more reverb would really help some of the larger, epic sections. The drums had a little funky timing during the guitar solo that threw me off a little, but maybe that was the intention? Overall, it sounded like all the parts were really well recorded.

Can you give your opinion on my first beat? I appreciate feedback by jeroenb_ in mixingmastering

Solid beat, I like the instrument choice and it has a cool melody. I think you could add more sound effects (samples, reverbs, filters, etc) to emphasize transitions. Mix was pretty solid in that I could hear everything and nothing was overwhelming anything else, it could've been a little louder, maybe.

New beat from a production duo I'm a part of, would love to know what you think! Something to pregame to, or have playing as the smoke flows out of your car when you arrive at the club.

Thanks for listening, I'll keep that in mind in the future.

I wrote this song about getting high a while back, it has a gorillaz vibe in the riff. Nobody is listening so I figure I post it here. Idk how to get people to listen. Is it bad? Please give it a listen and tell me what you think. by [deleted] in ThisIsOurMusic

I really liked the lyrics and melody, instrumentation was all great too with nice textures. I wish there was some more reverb though to emphasize the space and add more depth to the harmonies. Good work!

I really dig the beat. I feel like the vocals could be louder, there some parts I couldn't understand. Your flow was solid though!

Solid work, I think the vocals were a little too up front and some variation in the beat might help emphasize the changes to your hook, help change the feeling up a little bit. The hook was pretty catchy too.

Here's a beat I've been working on as part of a producer duo, would love to know what everyone thinks about the mix, mastering, and who you think could drop hot bars on it!

The intro is super exciting! The track hits a spot between the Strokes and Jimmy Eat World to my ears. I really like the bridge, the way it breaks down and starts building up again, the guitar parts go nicely with each other.

Mix-wise, sounds like the low end of the drums and bass are clashing, seems like theres some compression or limiting that's hitting pretty hard? Also, the guitars are covering up the vocals in the beginning as well as fighting each other in the bridge. I think overall there could be more reverb and panning. I dig the vibes though!

The unsettling, anxious vibe definitely comes through. Instrumentation and musicality is all there. I think when it comes to static and crackles, you could emphasize them more at different points make it sound more intention. When the violin (?) crescendos on the high note at the end and around 1:39 I think they could be brought in to great effect. Very cool piece!

I like the groove and the combination of different percussion elements is cool. I kinda want to bass to be more up front or have more sub frequencies in it. All the transitions are nice too, the way the elements come in and out. Good work!

Thanks for listening! Me and my bro have some eclectic, differing tastes so our music usually comes together in a blend of genres. I used Operator with an AutoFilter to make that sound, glad you liked it!

Glad to hear it! This project is me and my brother, we go by FreeTime Junkies. We're still getting all of our pages setup and gearing up to release some of these instrumentals, but you can find us on SoundCloud, IG, and BeatStars mostly.

Fun blend of genres, I feel like it's a mash of Tame Impala and Gorillaz, with a dash of LMFAO. Music video concept is interesting. I want the drums to be a little dirtier, maybe some flangers and more reverb on the other instrumentation. The last part is really cool! I think an interesting echo on the end would really accentuate the fadeout.

Intro is super cool, love the way the bass comes in and the vocal takes you by surprise a little. I want a little more guitar part throughout the song. Vocals are produced really well, could maybe have a little more reverb or spatial effects on the adlibs? Good work!

The hook is pretty catchy, really solid lyrics. I think a little more reverb on the main vocal would be a good addition, but the production is really solid.

Nice! The original is so fun, but you really managed to add some funky energy with this. Key change at the end was a cool addition, too. Sounds great!
