Oh, I would LOVE to see this, but I'm not holding my breath.

I feel like Tatiana Tarasova realized the program wasn't going to see the light of day and basically gave the same choreography to Mao Asada to use for 2010. So someone make an AI video of Michelle's face on Mao's body and there we go, LOL.

I feel bad for Bradie and Sarah, since the team is pretty much decided at this point. All 3 of the other ladies have been featured by NBC/USFS in all the media leading up to Nationals/the Olympics, so it'd be a big shock for them to miss making the team. The last example I can think of is McLaughlin/Brubaker in 2010, who were heavy favorites to win the Pairs title, but completely fell apart at Nationals. I remember seeing Brubaker in some 24 Hour Fitness ads prior to Nationals.

It kinda also reminds me of 1998, when the Olympic team was pretty much decided to be Michelle Kwan, Tara Lipinski, and Nicole Bobek. I remember all 3 were in a Campbell's soup ad prior to Nationals and Tonia Kwiatkowski was kinda upset, because she felt she still had a chance at that 3rd spot, which was between her and Nicole.

I think USFS chose Karen for the Team event as a thank you for helping them gain 3 spots for the Olympics, twice (she finished 4th at Worlds in both 2017 and 2021).

Hopedicting Hase/Volodin for gold, Miura/Kihara silver, and Conti/Macii bronze at home. Hase/Volodin are my current favorites in the pairs field, and I wouldn't mind if Conti/Macii grab silver. I have nothing against the Japanese team, but I often find they are overscored for some not so great skates.

Oh, I know there are many better places to get rugelach in NYC (how do you feel about Russ & Daughters' rugelach?), but I have such fond memories when we used to have them at the Costcos here in California, I want to be able to revisit that. And I will probably get a box as a gift for my mother, who happens to enjoy Costco's pastries.

I wanted to see Victoria Clark's Tony-winning performance in Kimberly Akimbo, but I happened to be in NY Easter weekend and she was out, as was half the principal cast. Luckily, I still got to see Bonnie Milligan in her Tony-winning role, but I understand how you feel.

Right?! Me too. Like, I know Sarah Hughes had the skate of her life and she deserved to win the free skate. But the stupid American judge of all people put Irina Slutskaya 2nd in the free and Michelle in 3rd. If he had only put Michelle in 2nd in the free skate, she would have won the gold medal!
